Fairy Tail: The Search for Aquarius

Chapter 2: Rumors

While Gray and Natsu were still on their way,  Erza, Wendy, Happy, Carla, and I decided to hit the market. We were in the village market searching for a new carriage. However, Erza got sidetracked looking at the villages signature strawberry cake. I tried to stop her but she wouldn't listen.
"Erza! We need to go find a replacement carriage or this 100 Year Quest is actually going to take a 100 years!", I said.
Erza gave me a death stare said, "Lucy Heartfilia, if you think that I will go looking for a carriage without trying this one of a kind Village Strawberry Cake, you are mistaken."
I turned around and said with agitation, "I understand completely why you need the cake. No, please take your time."
Erza ordered all of us a piece of cake. We sat down. I had my cake in my hand when I overheard someone next to me say, "Did you hear the Zodiac Gate Key for Aquarius is here in Fiore?" I already knew that.
But it was what his friend said afterwards that was interesting. His friend said, "Yeah. I heard a rumor that there was a guru up in the mountains. I think it was Mt. Hakobe. He claims to know where to find the key or something like that."
I dropped my plate. It shattered. Unable to control myself, I grabbed his shirt collar and began to interrogate him. At that time, it was no more nice Lucy. I was just as terrifying as Erza. I asked him, "What happened to Aquarius? Do you know?! Where is the key?!"
He was shaking . Then he replied in a cool manner, "All I know is that some guru knows. But that's all I'm telling ya, Honey."
"What did you say?! Now listen up! You better tell me everything you know or else!" I said.
He took a nice, long look at me and thought that I could bring no harm. Then he finally said, "I ain't tellin' ya nothin'. It's not like you can do anything to me except woo me with that pretty little face of yours."
I started talking in a cute voice and said, " You're right, HONEY. There really is nothing I can do, but you know who can? Erza."
He took one look at her and froze up then he told me everything. "The guru lives up in a cave deep in Mt. Hakobe. There's no proof that he's real or that he even knows how to get the key. Th-Thats all I know, really. Please, don't have your friend hurt me."
I gave him a cute smile and went back to nice Lucy mode. With the way I was acting, Edolas Lucy would've been proud, but I had no choice. Aquarius may have been feisty, but she was my friend... my family. And more than anything, I will always need her. The sooner I get to figuring this out, the sooner we'll be reunited. I gave the man a smile and said. "Thank you."
By the time Natsu and Gray had come back the whole place was basically empty. Everyone was gone, and the very few people that were there were hiding from me. For once it wasn't Natsu or Gray's fault, but I guess that's how life is like when your a Fairy Tail Wizard!
