Varsity or nah

Both Nikki and Avery walked through the door. Nikki spotted Jen first she was doing paper work at the table.
" hey momma"

Jen glanced at them then she took off her glasses and spoke
" where were you"

Avery decided to speak for both of them
" we were at the skating rink"

" did you have permission"

" we were just a couple blocks away" Nikki answered

" that wasn't the question"

Nikki groaned " no we didn't have permission but I forgot to ask sorry I'm used to going everyday"

" how many times this month have you forgotten to ask to do something"

" I don't know "

" plenty of times so until I believe you won't 'forget' you both are grounded. You not leaving this house unless you are with us or when your at school and no extra articular activities "

" WHAT no I have morning practices I have to go for I can't just miss them I won't be able to be on varsity"

" should of thought about that before hand"

" Well I'm sorry that I figured that you wouldn't care considering your never home in the first place or your too busy with paperwork here." Nikki said her voice raising

" don't raise your voice towards me you are skating on thin ice Nicole"

" don't call me that and your not being fair I'm going to practice whether you like it or not" Nikki replied still letting her voice raise

" go to your room now... before I or yourself loose our tempers... now young lady

" what no ugh fine" Nikki aid throwing her arms in the air before turning and walking up the stairs. Slamming her door shut when she entered her room.

Nikki grabbed the closest the thing she could fine, a hanger and broke into one, two, three, four five pieces. She was trying to hold her temper and she wasn't going to let it bottle up like she didn't last because that ended bad. She grabbed her phone and played thunderstorm sounds off of pandora laying on her bed with the sound full volume staring at the ceiling and before she knew it she feel asleep

Next she knew her door opened and in walked Avery holding Chinese. Nikki pulled the headphones out of her ears.

" what time is it?"

" 6:00 dad told me to bring it up for you"

" is he mad"

" no not really I mean he isn't exactly happy but he's not going to spank you or anything"

" mom?"

" she seems fine"

"Really"

" yeah she seems more worried about you to be honest."

" what does she have to be worried for"

" she thinks you are going to sneak out to practice"
