You're The Father

"Maya... what are you doing here," said a deep southern accent boy. Oh no. It's him! I quickly took the photo and shoved it into my back pocket.

"Lucas, uh hi I didn't see you there. I was just getting a check up, that's all" I said in the speed of light. 

"What are you doing here?"

"I came here to do some help at the hospital for work experience," he said

"What's that?"

"What's what?" I said nervously

"That piece of paper in your back pocket? Are you sure your ok?" He said really nervously

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine"

"Ok, well I gotta go see ya-" Kissing my cheek as he left

"Hey Riley, how did it go?" I heard a familiar voice say. I turned around and I see Mia. Oh no, Oh no.

"Oh hi there, I'm Mia. Riley and I just met." Mia said reaching towards Lucas's hand.

"Hi I'm Lucas. Riley's boyfriend. Congratulations! He said reaching his hand to Mia's stomach.

"Thank you, but I'm not the one that you should be congratulating. It's Riley with the great news." Mia said so excitedly. My eyes just wide out so quickly that I had to stop and catch my breath. 

"What do you mean?" Lucas started

"Hey Mia why don't we let Lucas get to his appointment and we can go and grab a coffee?"

"Riley, wait" Lucas said

"I'll text you later Riley" Mia said confusingly 

Great, now Lucas knows that something is going on and I'm here alone with him. I stared at my shoes until he would say something.

"Riley, what is she talking about?" Lucas said with anger

"Nothing!"

"Are you sure, because you just met her in the in the obstetrics office and people go there because... Wait Riley ARE YOU PREGNANT!?" He asked worriedly and shocked.

"Yes"

"Oh my god, this can not be happening. This is my worst nightmare coming to life. Please tell me your joking please, please."

"Lucas please I don't want to talk about this here, expressly in public... just um... come over to my place at 8 and I'll explain there" I said calmly

"okay"

I walked out of the hospital. I was extremely nervous and now really happy that's,1. It's off my chest and 2. that he didn't overly react. I got interrupted by my phone ringing. I really hoped it wasn't Lucas. Thankfully it was Mia. I should be mad at her but I'm not because she didn't know.

"Oh my god, Riley I am so so sorry that I said something. I didn't even think before I was going to say something. For all I know he might be the father. I am really sorry." She said stressfully

"Mia, it's ok. Yes he is the father but I told him and he is ok. You didn't ruin anything or you didn't say anything you weren't supposed to. It's all good."

"Ok then, if you say so."

"Could you give me some advice on how to tell him for making it up to me?" I said nerviously

"HAHAHAHA!, of course. Just be honest with him and just give him time to take it all in. Just don't push it, ok?"

"Ok, thanks. Sorry I got to go now, talk later?"

"Sure, bye" Mia said as she hung up.

I walked up into my apartment. I got out the baby picture and I put it onto the bench. I went into my room to get into some more comfortable clothes and then I sat on couch just playing on my phone.

*2 hours later*

*Ding-dong*

I heard the door bell ring and I had a strong feeling it was Lucas. I got up and I opened the door when there was Lucas. I went to give him a kiss but he denied it ever so sightly. I greeted him in with a anxious look on his face. I was about to start explaining as he said

"So I was right? You are pregnant?"

I sighed and I turned around with a very guilty and sad look on my face

"Yes. I am pregnant. And it's your baby"

He just looked at me with a sad and angry look on his face. I feel like I could tell what he was feeling but I just can't.

"Lucas your the only one that I have... yanno..."

I seated him on the couch and I grabbed the sonogram picture

"Lucas, please I am begging you, please say something,anything!?"

"I'm gonna be a dad" he said so quietly

"How dose that make you feel?" i asked not knowing if I even wanted to hear the answer to that question

"Nervous, Scared but really happy" he said supprisingly

"Your happy? So your not going to walk out on me and leave me to do this by myself?"

"Riley, I would never do that to you, I love you, and as long as we are together I am always going to have your back. I love you so much and I am going to love this baby. Boy...girl... I don't care. We are in this together."

"Really" I said so happily

"Yes, of course"

"Thanks babe" As we both kissed eachother

"Our baby" He said

"Our baby" I said

We just stared at the picture for a little while until we came back to reality and some question started comeing

"So who else knows?" He said confusingly

"Just you and I want to keep it like that for a little bit longer" I said carmly 

"Sure"

"But how are we supposed to keep it from Maya, Farkle, Zay and Smackle?" He asked

"I don't know but we have to"

"Ok, as he kissed my head"

I layed on his chest and I put his hand on my stomach. I started to slowly drift off to sleep with a smile on my face.
