i stumbled back into our hotel room and made my way out to the balcony.
i stared at the river and i wondered.
wondered if i did anything wrong.
wondered if you didn't love me anymore.
tears rolled down my cheeks and i could taste the sweet bitterness of it.
the door to our room opened and in you came smiling.
"oh i thought you were asleep! the fireworks are about to start soon. let's watch them together."
"i hate you."
"what?"
"how could you?"
