"Bye Jeffrey!" My friends waved their final goodbyes.
"I'll miss you guys!" Closing my eyes I flung myself on a side and hugged my knees. This was the worst day of my life. I was moving to a small town in Nashville away from everything I knew and loved."I know it's hard sweety, but now we can afford to live a better life" my mother's soothing words returned calmed my storm of emotions and I sat up.
I awoke on a beautiful Monday morning in my new room decorated with all of my memories from my past life. I tiredly began to get ready for my first day at Alexander Elementary. I soon met my parents downstairs and a beautiful pancake, egg and bacon breakfast greeted me. My father hadn't touched his plate, the front page of the newspaper had him hypnotised and his untidy tie hung around his unbuttoned collar.
"Everyone's ready? Great! Have a good day my loves" my mother's smile lit up the room and I copied it as my father escorted me to the car.
"Nice to meet you Jake, It's also my first day" Emmanuel greeted me and we walked down the hallway exchanging stories from our past schools when I spotted her closing her locker.
"Who..is that...?" I was starstruck. Her long Indian hair complimented her hazel eyes and she was just under my height, 5' 3". She caught me staring and walked over."I haven't seen you before...are you new here?" She asked tilting her head to the right.
"Yeah, I'm Jeffrey. Nice to meet you"
