I woke up this morning happy as could be. I had a great time last night with Gavin, though I got yelled at for being out late. As I got ready for school Lexi texted me.

' Hey. What r u doing 2nite Sawyer.'

' IDK. I'll have 2 wait n c untill after school. I may have gotten grounded last nite. '

'y'

' I got back late from my date with Gavin. :/ '

' What!!!. u went on a date '

'yea '

' with a guy? '

'yea '

' u? '

' YES !!!!! '

' wow. let me process this. I mean WOW. r u 4 real. '

' yea. had a great time to.'

' what did u do? '

' went to the fair.

' how sweet. anyway, figure out ur plans.'

After that I heard a knock on my door. I looked up at my dad as he told me not to forget my psychiatric appointment at the mental health hospital. I smiled thinking of possibly seeing Elly today. It's been a long time since I've seen her. we've been friend for a long time. We were admitted to the psych ward at the same time about six years ago. Five minutes later I got a text from an unknown caller.

' Hey Sawyer. '

' Who is this?'

' Oh. whoops. I forgot to give u my # last nite. It's me, Gavin.'

' oh hey. wat'up? '

' nothing just wondering what it up 2. '

' I've got a psych appointment this afternoon. '

' a whaaat? :& '

' they want 2 c if I'm crazy. '

' oh. sorry.'

' It's ok.'

' Want me 2 take u?'

' Naaa. '

I rode my bike all the way to the hospital and sat in the waiting area. When I was called in I ran into Elly.

"Hey Elly, How have you been?"

"Fine, well not fine, well maybe, we'll see.  They put me on a bunch of new medications and upped the number of therapeutic appointments so there's that.  How are you doing?"

"Fine, fine. I got to go. Nice seeing you again Elly." 

Walking into the psychologist's room I remembered what had been discussed last time. Trying to make new friendships, calming techniques, and thought processes. 

" Hello Sawyer." said the doctor.
