So, I have this little alternate universe planned out a little bit for Sasuke and Yuzuki. So Yuzuki is younger than them, and team seven had to keep her company when she was 10 years old because Kakashi didn't want her to be alone after clan had been slaughtered. That's around a 2 year age difference. I wrote this like two years ago so it probably sucks lmao. But here you go.
The little girl chased a butterfly around the training grounds, occupying herself as two of her friends bickered nearby. "I'm a better ninja then you'll ever be, Sasuke!"
"Keep dreaming, you dobe."
Yuzuki jumped up and nearly caught the small insect, but it fluttered away just out of her reach. She landed in a crouched position, and pouted her lips as the butterfly flew higher in the air. "Hey, Yuzuki, while these two are being stupid heads do you want to go eat some ramen?" Sakura was looking down at her with a kind smile.
The girl nodded, "Sounds good!" Yuzuki took Sakura's hand and they left the training grounds. Only when they were miles away did the two boys notice that they were gone.
Sasuke stopped for a moment, his head turning as he looked through the clearing. "Hey, where did they go?"

Two years later the twelve year old girl was sitting at the academy when a group of older kids walked into her classroom. Her beautiful obsidian eyes landed upon the three ninja and she smiled brightly. "One-chan! The girl hadn't noticed the grim looks on their faces as she pranced up to them. Her bright smile fell as Sasuke spoke up.
"It's Kakashi, he's in the hospital."
The little girl sprinted out of the classroom, the three ninja following her closely. It was hard for them to keep up, her speed was far more advanced than they could have imagined. Maybe it was the rush of adrenaline, they didn't know.
But she was far ahead of them by the time they reached the hospital. "Where's his room?"
"Down the hall, last door on your left!"
The girl sped up even more and the trio decided they would walk, they were tired trying to keep up with her.
Yuzuki entered the hospital room, her eyes blazing with anger, sadness, and worry. She spotted the silver headed man laying unconscious on the hospital bed, and she ran over to him immediately. Taking his hand in hers, she sat down in the chair beside the bed, her heart racing a million beats a minute. The silver headed ninja remained unconscious, bruises littering what skin was visible to her, and he was covered in blood. "Dad, please wake up," she pleaded, tears threatening to fall down her cheeks.
"Yuzuki, he won't wake up, they said that they just don't have what they need to heal him."
"He's going to wake up, he always does," her voice was wobbly, and they could all sense the uncertainty in her voice in that moment.
A hand rested upon her shoulder and she looked up to see Sasuke, and then she buried her face in his shirt, finally letting the tears fall.

Days later she decided that she was going to go find the best healing ninja in the land, Tsunade, one of the Legendary Sannin. The girl strapped a kunai to her thigh, a special kunai. He'd said that it was given to him by the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze. With a determined look in her eyes, Yuzuki turned away from the mirror, throwing on her black cloak and exiting her home. The streets were empty, the street lights had been turned off. It was to be expected since it was the middle of the night.
She turned a corner, the village gates in sight. And as she grew closer she sensed chakra nearby. It was so faint, probably because she had just started learning to harness the power of the chakra flowing through her body. Whirling around, she found the trio of ninja standing in a line behind her.
"What are you doing here?" She nearly growled.
"We could ask you the same thing," there was a gleam in Sasuke's dark eyes.
"If you're here to stop me, then turn around and go home. I won't let you stop me. If you do, you might be mad a me for what I will do to you."
"We're not here to stop you," Naruto spoke up.
"We're here to help you."

The mission had gone south real fast. It turned out that mercenaries had been looking for Tsunade, too. And they weren't going to let these little children get in the way of their pay. There were so many of them and Tsunade was helping in the fight, but her power wasn't enough to fend off all of them.
Yuzuki's body was in overdrive, and she was nearly out of energy as she attempted to fend off one of the mercenaries. When she heard a scream, her attention broke and her head whipped towards the source. Sakura was on the ground, blood dripping from her arm. Yuzuki's anger flared, which caused her chakra to flare and she sent her enemy flying. That was when she realized that someone else was in trouble. Sasuke wasn't paying attention, he was trying to save Sakura but there were too many of the men and so he didn't notice that a mercenary was going to attack him from behind.
The young girl ran as fast as she could but she didn't have time to launch an attack so she jumped in front of the man, saving Sasuke but putting herself in harms way.
Blood spattered on the ground, and the girl bit her lip to keep herself from screaming as a fiery pain tore through her body. Stars danced in her vision as she looked down at the blade in stomach, then everything suddenly became sharper. Her chakra increased ten fold and her senses heightened.
She suspected what it was, but only cared that it was going to help her fend off the enemy. Her teammates were frantic in trying to get to her, but she could take care of herself.
She gritted her teeth, grabbing the sword by the blade and pulling it out of her, blood leaking from her hands in the process. The man pushed harder but she only pushed him further back until the blade left her stomach.
She then pooled chakra to her feet and launched herself at the man, pounding her fist into his throat, breaking his trachea. Then she landed another hit on his jaw, knocking him out cold. Blood oozed from her wound as she turned towards the rest of the mercenaries, her heated gaze on the rest of the men.
She had attacked them all, but before she could see if the rest of her team was alright, she hit the ground. Her whole body shook from shock, her clothes colored scarlet. Her silver hair was stained red from her enemies and her hands oozed blood. Her team immediately ran over to her, Tsunade was tending to a wounded Shizune.
They knelt beside her, trying to stop the bleeding as the girl gasped for air. Her whole body was shutting down. Sasuke placed his hands on her cheeks, smearing her blood on her skin as he cradled her head in his lap. He could not find the words to speak at the moment. All he could do was hope she would be okay. He noticed how her eyes were different. They were amber instead of the original beautiful obsidian they once were. And he noticed how the bright color was dimming with each passing moment, her life slipping away. She was slipping out of his hands.
~
They had saved her, and went back to the village to get Tsunade to heal Kakashi. No one ever spoke of what happened. Especially not to Kakashi. And they never mentioned the words Sasuke had whispered to the girl as she laid there dying. I love you. Three little words that would change everything. He begged her not to leave him. He begged her to stay.
But maybe they should have told her. Maybe she could have changed what happened next.
Maybe she could have stopped Sasuke from leaving.
