The room was small and square, a large rectangular metal table and two metal chairs opposite each side of the table, James seated on one end and Seth on the other, two police officers present, both standing like soldiers "at attention" by the door right behind James. There were no windows but had two large vents on the ceiling keeping the room cool. The room lit with bright lights dangling from the ceiling. The walls were creamish-white and bare, the painting not so fresh, it's obvious it was beginning to peel.

"Why did you do it?" James uttered the first words letting his emotions take over him for a moment.

"Because I hate them. I really do hate them. I'd do it again if they let me. Let me."
Seth replied as his voice gets louder and louder.
"Let me" Seth screams at the top of his lungs, his voice could be heard outside the walls of the interview room. Seth had been losing his sanity due to being confined in solitary for the past two weeks.

"Calm down Seth. You agreed to this interview. Let us do this without any yelling", James requested in a firm voice. Immediately regretting going off script, James pulls himself together, looks Seth straight in the eye hoping for a response.

Seth remains quite, giving James a death stare with a little smirk on his face. You could tell he wouldn't hesitate to rip his head off if there were alone and didn't have handcuffs restraining him to the metal chair that was already drilled into the ground.

"I'm just cranky", Seth finally said after his long stare. He had a more serious look on his face.
"Being closed off from the outside world is taking its toll on me".

"I can tell, Let's begin now shall we?", James replied.

James McQueen, an African-American investigative journalist in his late twenties working for the Riversville police department for ten years now and Seth Klaus, a Caucasian male, a serial killer convicted of murdering 30 African-Americans (18 females and 12 males), were now seated directly opposite each other ready to commence the interview. James, with his notepad in his hands, was determined to have all the questions of the city answered.

What's your name?"

"My name is Seth...Seth Klaus."

"Where are you from?"

"I am from here, Riversville, New York."

"Where do you live?"

"I live at Riversville Correctional Facility,"

"That's not what I mean Seth," James replied knowing fully well Seth was trying to be difficult.

"Well, what did you mean James?"

"I meant where did you live before you were arrested?"

"181 Saddlelake Dr, Riversville City, NY."

"How old are you?"

"I was born January, thirteenth, nineteen sixty, meaning I am thirty years of age," Seth answered with an attitude in his voice.

"Why am I being asked these basic questions, wouldn't you like to get to the juicy stuff?" Seth said.

"Oh, we will, but I have a list of questions and I am through all of them" James replied.

"You know what? Let's move on to the juicy stuff ", James added.

"Now you're talking", Seth let out a big grin.

Oh, he was about to tell all.
