Ch.1 Shes Mute

Shelby's P.O.V

I wake up hearing my alarm clock go off I mentally groan from seeing how it is Monday and that only means going back to that prison they call a school. I get up and take a quick shower.

After I'm done I quickly get dressed and brushed my hair. When I was all ready I looked at the clock.

7:30

Which means I have 12 minutes to get to school. I got up and went downstairs to an empty house. I looked out the window to find my moms car gone which meant she already left for work. I took an apple from the fruit bowl that's in the middle of the table in the kitchen. I then take my key to the house, grab my backpack, and walked out of the house locking the door behind me. I began walking to hell aka school. Even though I'm 17 my mom doesn't trust me driving and honestly neither do I. I'm always scared that I'll get hurt or worst I'll hurt someone else and I don't want to be responsible for hurting someone.

After a while of walking I came face to face will hell its self. I looked at the time on my phone and saw I only had 5 minutes left till I have to get to class. I rushed to my locker and when I opened it I immediately took out the books I will need for the classes before lunch so I wouldn't have to rush to my locker to grab something. When I was done I walked to my first class and as always I was the first one there. I sat in my usual seat and waited till class started.

While I was waiting a few kids came in and soon the classroom was full. Then class started and I heard whispering across the room apparently they aren't good whisperers.

The teacher looked up from his book and scanned the classroom I watched his gaze land on Will and of course his best friend Graser. Probably talking about how lame this class was. I don't think it's lame but they do.

Then finally the teacher spoke "Will do have something u need to share?"

"Eh no just the usual talking about how lame this class is" said Will. Ah ha I was right!

The teacher then scanned the room again until his eyes locked onto mine "then I don't think you'll have a problem sitting with Shelby Grace over there" he said pointing to me. Nooo why teacher!!!! Before Will could respond the teacher spoke again "and that's not a question."

Will groaned before getting up with his stuff and walked over to the seat next to me. I decided to ignore him and keep doing my work. I handed in the paper to be the first one finish as always mainly because I'm the only person who does their work.

The rest of the day went by faster then I thought and before I knew it I was at my locker collecting somethings and I'm putting things away until I felt someone breathing behind me.

I turned around and saw the last person I wanted to see. Will.

"Your smart right?" Asked Will.

I just shrug my shoulders and turn back to my locker to put another book away. I then close my locker and turn around to see Will still there.

"I was wondering if u could tutor me?" Asked Will who is now leaning against the locker next to mine.

I simply shake my head no and start to walk away. Only to have Will run after me.

"Please please please please if u don't tutor me I'm going to fail and if I fail I can't play football" exclaimed Will.

Then without thinking I nod my head yes only to see a smile appear on his face.

"Hey why don't u talk? All u do is shrug, shake your head, and nod" said Will.

I quickly took my bag off my shoulders and took out my notebook and wrote:

Are u serious?

"Mhmm" he hummed.

I'm mute everyone in the school knows that.

"Oh well I guess we should get going home. I'll see u tomorrow" said Will.

I was about to put my notebook in my bag when it was snatched out of my hands. I looked over at Will confused. Then Will tore of a piece of paper and handed it to me.

"Write down your phone number so I can text u about u tutoring me" he said.

I quickly write down my number and hand it back to him. Then I put my notebook into my bag and swung my bag around my shoulder. When I look up I notice Will's gone. I then start walking out of the school to walk home.

A/N

I really hope u like my new book. If u don't then I don't care u don't have to read it. Now u must be wondering how are am I going to juggle 2 books. I honestly don't even know I can't even juggle one book. If u can juggle books good for u! I am going to make a schedule of when I'll be writing these but for now they'll come out at random times.
