'C'mon Aaron! We've got another call!
'Ugh! Coming!'
Aaron came running out of the cave; a little nook in the middle of a huge mountain where we lived- his shirt half on and one sock off.
'What's up?'
'There's a distress call ,' I said holding up my phone. 'According to the coordinates it should be right on the other side of this mountain.'
'Well, that shouldn't be too hard. I'll get ready.'
'Okay but hurry up- I can see smoke rising from where the village is.'
'I'll be out in a sec.'

I came out of the tent to see Frost standing in the middle of a pile of snow- which either indicated that he's gassy or that he's tense- right now I'm guessing it's the latter

I came out of the tent to see Frost standing in the middle of a pile of snow- which either indicated that he's gassy or that he's tense- right now I'm guessing it's the latter.
'You seem awfully tense today bro- even more than usual. What's wrong?
'Nothing -it's just- never mind. Come on.'And with that he leaped off the cliff.
Not believing him, I followed, jumping down a hundred metres.

Closing my eyes, I fell toward the darkness below. Just when I was about to hit the ground, I willed snow to form under me, forming a bridge of ice a few feet long suspended in midair by my sheer will.
I took a deep breath and started running; the snow unforming and reforming under my feet with every step I took.

As I jumped, I willed the earth under me to rise. It crept up toward my feet, until I was standing on an eighty feet tall pillar which was only a foot in diameter .
I started to run.
With every step I took, the earth rose and fell under my feet.
Finally I reached Frost who was standing on a ledge overlooking the town; or what was left of it.

'Aaron?'
'Yeah?'
'This isn't normal.'
'For once, I won't disagree with you.'
The whole village had been burnt and reduced to ashes- but not in a normal way.
In a normal fire, some parts of buildings were left standing. This fire had completely wiped out the whole town leaving nothing but heaps of ash in its wake.
'Aaron we have to go closer to try to find out who or what caused this.'
'Okay...'
