The Demon Princess

Arrival

Lyra  P.O.V

I had been travelling for days. I had been flying, but it was too much effort and I kept getting spotted. So I had resorted to just walking. It was tiring, and I was injured by a wild bear that I fought for some food. Luckily, I won. It didn't help I was already Injured by some Holy Knights that saw me the day before.

I had been searching for him for days. After I escaped, I couldn't turn back. I HAD to find him. The others might not forgive him, but I do. If I was in his shoes, I would have done the same.

I was about to give up, when I sensed a power level so high that it could only belong to him. YES! I was close! I had a sudden burst of Energy and began to fly again, despite my injuries.

Meliodas P.O.V

I could sense her power level, it was getting nearer. Why is she here? Where is she? What happened? A million questions raced through my mind. I was so distracted that I broke another plate while washing up.

The others, except Merlin and Gowther who were in Camelot, were starting to get suspicious and staring at me. "Guys, stop staring at me, I'm fine, Okay?" I finally spoke. The others didn't look convinced but went back to doing whatever it was they were supposed to be doing, but still secretly looking at me.

It was so strong now, I could barely restrain myself from running out the door.

Suddenly, the door to The Boar Hat was flung open. In the doorway, was a girl with long, blonde hair in a fishtail down to her knees. Her knee length black dress partially covered with silver armour was slightly torn, but still beautiful. Her left green eye and right blue eye locked with mine. Lyra.

I rushed to her, dropping the plate in the sink. I lifted her up and spun her around. I ran my hands through her messy-ish hair and kissed her forehead. Just as I did that, Elizabeth walked into the tavern. Her eyes filled with tears and she fled back up the stairs.

"Elizabeth!" I called. I turned back to Lyra. "I will be right back, don't leave. You can explain later." She nodded and I ran upstairs after Elizabeth.

Lyra P.O.V

As Meliodas ran back upstairs after Elizabeth, the other people in the tavern looked at me kind of confused and a bit angry.  One male wearing red trousers with greyish-silver hair walked up to me and casually lifted me up by the front of my dress.

"Just who the hell are you and why did the captain greet you like that? I should kill you for making the Princess cry!" He said. The others just nodded grimly and stepped towards me. So Meliodas is the captain of a new group, huh?

I didn't want to start a fight with these people the moment I arrived, so I did the next best thing.

"MELIODAS!!!!!!!!!!" I bellowed.

The man was punched in the face so hard he spat blood. Meliodas had punched him. Behind him was the Princess Elizabeth, looking very guilty. "Ban! What do you think you are doing? Put Lyra down!" Meliodas Said. Ban dropped me.

"Sorry Captain, but she made Princess cry!" He defended. 

"I don't care. Don't touch her again." Meliodas spat. The other sins looked confused, as if they had never heard him being serious before. He turned to me. "Dinner will be ready soon. But right now, come with me. Elizabeth stay down here please."  He grabbed my hand and was about to lead me upstairs when he turned to a girl with pigtails, and a boy floating on a pillow and said "Oh, Diane, King, no making out when I'm gone!" with a grin plastered on his face. King had a nosebleed and Diane blushed like crazy.

Meliodas P.O.V

I led Lyra upstairs and into my bedroom. I gave her a hug. "Why are you here? You know how much trouble you will get in if he finds out!"

Lyra sighed. "I know, but I had to."

"Why?"

"Its because Zeldris is really sick! Estarossa and the commandments are away on a mission and Dad won't do anything, he is really depressed right now because of the illness. The demons are trying to escape the seal!" Lyra said, breaking down and trembling.

I sighed. "Lyra, I can't go back. I'm banished, remember? And I can't leave The sins or Elizabeth or they will ask questions I'm not ready to answer." I was almost ready to cry at her expression.

Lyra grabbed my shirt with her fists "No, you can! I convinced Dad to lift the banishment, for Zeldris if anything else. He did, and declared it to the whole realm! You can come back! Please." She begged.

"Let me think about it for tonight, okay." I asked and Lyra nodded.

We walked downstairs holding each others hands. Dinner was on the tables. I sat down next to Elizabeth, as usual, and Lyra sat down next to me. We began to eat. Everyone was talking when Lyra suddenly exclaimed "WOW! This food is way better than your cooking, Big Bro!" And Everyone's jaws dropped at what she had said and i face-palmed. "I-I'm so s-sorry Meliodas, I-I didn't m-mean it! I-"

"It's Okay, if you are here, they would find out eventually." I huffed.

"You have a sister!?!?" Diane burst out.

"Twin sister actually," I corrected, annoyed.

"Yep!" Lyra said happily. "And two brothers!"

"Lyra Shut it!" I barked and she instantly shut up, though the others had shocked disbelief on their faces.

"You have a family?" King uttered. "I always thought you were an orphan or something, since you never mentioned them."

I looked and felt a bit annoyed, or pissed. "Well I do, so just drop it already!" I yelled. The others flinched, but Lyra hugged me gleefully.

" There's the brother I know and Love!" But her voice sounded slightly sad.

They all went back to normal conversations, but they all kept glancing at me nervously. I sighed and continued to eat and talk with Ban, Elizabeth, and the others but Lyra was unusually quiet.

Elizabeth P.O.V

Ban, Meliodas and I were all talking and discussing our favourite food. Meliodas said that his favourite food was whole roasted pork and Diane agreed. Hawk let out a squeal and ran upstairs.

I kept looking guiltily at Lady Lyra. I felt terrible for causing a scene earlier. I just felt so jealous when I saw how Meliodas acted towards her, but that's his sister! Of course he would act like that. She seems very close to Meliodas, and I respect that. But the others seem a little suspicious. 

Lyra had become increasingly quiet throughout dinner. Meliodas kept giving her worried glances, but she wold just flash him a smile, like I do when I'm hiding something.

Lyra suddenly burst out crying, clutching Meliodas. "You have to help him!" she sobbed. "You have to!" Lyra kept repeating this over and over again. Meliodas just hugged her, whispering quietly into her ear.

Then, he said something that made everyone go into silence.

"I promise, I will return home with you. I will visit Father and help save our brother."
