Meliodas P.O.V
I was sleeping when I woke up, hearing the stairs creak. Curious, I tiptoed out of bed and walked down the stairs and looked around to see no one. I heard a noise. I turned around and I still didn't see anyone so i went up to bed.
I fell asleep and what seemed like only seconds later, I heard another noise. I groggily walked out of bed, the sun was just rising. I walked back downstairs and standing in the middle of the tavern, was Lyra.
Her eyes were closed, so I immediately knew what was going on. I walked towards her and She teleported outside. "Damn it!!! I forgot!" I yelled, loud enough to wake everyone up and they all ran downstairs after me. I grabbed a kitchen knife and sprinted out the door after her.
They stood outside the Boar Hat, watching me as I approached Lyra, knife in hand. Lyra, her eyes still closed, snapped her fingers and about twenty different weapons appeared around her, all with sapphires on the hilt.
The others got into battle formation behind me but I shook my head. "No. If you hurt her or even touch her, I'll knock you into next week, got it?" They flinched. " So no matter what happens, you can NOT so much as lift a finger to help with out my permission. Captains orders." I smirked. (Anyone else fangirling right now?) They stepped away back to Elizabeth at the Boar Hat entrance.
"Right, Lyra. Lets do this." I smiled. She thrust out her hand and all the weapons flew at me. I let all of them stab me. Elizabeth cried out. I just smiled and walked forward a few paces. The weapons disintegrated and Instantly appeared back at Lyra's side. Once again I let them stab my uncovered body. I just smiled and kept walking, ignoring everyone's cries. I let her do this to me over and over, I kept walking through the pain until I was right in front of Lyra.
I held up my knife and yelled "Enchantment: Hellblaze!" and gave Lyra a fatal slice from the shoulders down to her waist. The others yelled out desperate objections. "Okay Merlin, Gowther, you can help now." and they appeared in front of me.
"Thank you captain," Merlin smirked. "I can tell that you and Lyra will be fine with some rest."
Just then, Lyra began to cough and splutter. She weakly sat up and said sadly "It happened again, didn't it?" I just nodded and helped her up. "I didn't, I didn't hurt anyone this time did I?" Lyra looked around.
"No you didn't, luckily." Merlin spoke from behind her. Lyra squealed and hugged Merlin.
"Merlin! I haven't seen you in years!" Lyra said happily as Merlin hugged her back. "You have to tell me where you've been, you pig, you didn't come and visit me like you said you would." She lightly punched her.
"I've been busy with research and Arthur, in Camelot as well." Merlin explained, smiling. The others were looking at them with a dumbfounded face.
"Wait, you two know each other?" Ban yawned.
"We're good friends. She helped me get home a few times because I used to get lost a lot when I was younger." Lyra explained.
Merlin smiled. "I visit her every once in a while, and she sends me letters because they live quite far away."
"They?" Diane asked.
"Lyra and the Captain." She paused. "They do have a family and a home, you know." Diane just looked at me and Lyra, as if trying to figure something out.
We all went back inside and Ban began to drink again while making breakfast. He had a mischievous smirk on his face. "So, Gowther, what is your favourite food to eat for breakfast?"
Gowther tilted his head in confusion. "I have no preferences when it comes to food. What food should I like for breakfast?" The others roared with laughter.
