Diane P.O.V
After Lyra's outburst, the captain stood up. "Well, I'm gonna take Lyra back to her bed now, 'll open the tavern when I come back. Start tidying, and Ban," The captain grinned. "When I come back, lets get a drink!" He picked up Lyra bridal style and walked upstairs. Ban smiled.
"You're on!"
Elizabeth and I started to tidy up. King went out to get supplies and Ban set up the kitchen. I walked up to Elizabeth and helped her clean one of the tables."So, what do you think of Lyra?"
"Well, Lady Lyra seems nice. She seems really attached to Sir Meliodas and he really likes her." Elizabeth said, not meeting my eye.
"Uh huh," I said. " I think her and the Captain are keeping secrets from us. But I trust Meliodas, not Lyra." I told Elizabeth.
We continued to clean the tables, and shortly after we finished Captain came down stairs. "Lets open the Tavern!" he grinned. I smiled and opened the doors, customers rushing in. It was really busy tonight.
About an hour after the Tavern opened, Meliodas, with a mischievous smile on his face, put don a pint of ale and ran upstairs. I looked at Ban curiously, but the look he returned gave away no clue as to what he could be up to and continued drinking. Ten minutes later, a cheer erupted from the drunk men in the tavern. "Look! Another pretty waitress!"
Meliodas had a perverted smile on his face. In front of him, was Lyra. Her long blonde hair was in a neater fishtail, and was in the tavern uniform. I had to admit, she looked almost as good in the uniform as Elizabeth. Lyra basked in all the attention she as getting, taking it in stride. Surprisingly, she came up to Elizabeth and I, waving.
"Hi guys!" Lyra smiled. I waved a little, I still don't trust, her, why should I? I don't know anything about her, or heard anything about her, and she finds MY Captain and suddenly gets special treatment, claiming she's family.
Elizabeth, on the other hand, doesn't act weird at all. "Hello, Lady Lyra!" She greets. "You look amazing in that uniform!" Elizabeth complimented.
Lyra blushed slightly. "Thank you Elizabeth, you're just as kind as ev-" She as cut off by Meliodas' hands over her mouth as he whispered something in her ear. More secrets, really? Lyra's face paled slightly and she noticed us staring and regained her composure. "Sorry about that, you reminded me of a girl I used to know, she looked a lot like you, and had a similar name as you as well."
Elizabeth looked a bit curious. She looked around to see if Meliodas was here, but he was upstairs. "Could it be.. Liz, by any chance, Lady Lyra?" Elizabeth whispered.
Lyra paled. "Well .... umm, yes actually. How did you know?" Lyra whispered back.
"Old man Cane told me all about her, he thought I was her the first time we properly met. When I first met him, I was stuck in Diane's cleavage!" Elizabeth blushed and giggled.
I blushed and pouted. "Hey, that wasn't exactly my fault! And who is this Liz girl anyway?" I asked.
"I take it you don't know much about Meliodas' background?" Lyra asked me. I shook my head. "Well, Liz was Meliodas' past lover, when she died he-" Lyra stopped talking as Meliodas walked up towards them.
"Hey Elizabeth, Diane, Lyra. whats up?" Meliodas greeted casually.
"Oh, nothing." Lyra said, rolling her eyes as Meliodas casually groped Elizabeth, who went red. "We were just discussing who looked better in the uniform. Personally, I think Elizabeth looks best in it. How about you, Meliodas?"
His perverted look on his face, Meliodas smiled. "Yup, totally agree. Sorry Diane." He said.
I sulked and went to deliver another order.
