Hannah on the right----->>>>>>>

It was mid day when we reached Nebraska, the setting sun was a beautiful mix of yellows, oranges, and pinks. Our next rest stop is at least two miles away in Gatlin, a small town in the middle of nowhere. Last July my friend Abbie, short for Abigail, and I decided to visit Nebraska, to see my friend Caleb. We haven't seen each other since I started college last fall and he went to visit his family in Nebraska. We haven't seen or talked in months and I'm kinda worried. I know I shouldn't be, but we were inseperable as kids. "Earth to Hannah" Abbie said shaking me out of my thoughts. "Huh?" I replied pelling my left earbud from my ear and my eyes from the lovely view of miles of endless corn stalks. "How many more miles to he nearest town?" She asked just as irratated as me by the view. "Uh, three" I said deflatedly and turning back to my doors widow view of the corn. "Can I have one?" Abbie said nodding toward my Gummy Worms. "Sure" I said before getting lost in my thoughts of Caleb again. I thought it was only a couple of seconds since Abbie asked 'how much longer to the nearest town?' Now she was nudging my shoulder. "What?" I asked irratated at the nudging. "Are you thinking about Caleb again?" She asked knowingly. "Maybe. Alittle. Why?" I said looking back out the window dejectedly. "Because you look like someone killed your puppy." She said turning her head towards the road. I smiled at the way she said it. I saw a figure emerge from the corn field and before I could warn Abbie.WE HIT SOMETHING!!!! As relization hit me, a shiver went down my spine. OH MY GOD WE HIT SOMEONE!!!!! I slowly got out of the car, leaving Abbie in her dazed state. As I made my way to the front of the car and the body, I noticed a trail of blood leading from the massive corn field to the now dead body. After emptying her stomuch, Abbie made her way to my side. I watched her face turn from dazed and sad to hysterical in less than 2 seconds from seeing the body. It didn't seem real until I had layed eyes on the boys, mangled and blooded body. "I killed a KID!!!!!" Abbie sobbed/ screamed. "No you just finished the job." I said noticing the slit across his jugular. "No I killed him. Now he'll never graduate, he'll never find the love of his life and have kids." After she finished her speech, her faced shown comprehencion of what I had just said. "Oh.." she said dumbly. I try not to look around to much.
