Percy looked at Molly. "No one can know-" Arthur stopped him and looked at me. "Clover is your name, am I correct?" I nodded. "Right, "he continued, "and the people who took your sister - Bellatrix and Fenrir - was there anything...unusual about them?"
I frowned. "Well, I already said Fenrir was hairy..." Fred was trying to hold back a laugh. I guessed Percy felt awkward in the conversation, because he awkwardly tried to cooperate with the brooms and pick them up. I didn't really want to talk about the kidnappers. It would depress me too much. Who knew if I would ever see Annabelle again? As if reading my mind, Molly said, "He just thinks he knows who they are, that's all."
"Oh. In that case, Bellatrix had long, curly black hair - and I mean curly - and a long laced dress. Fenrir had dark brown hair that was slicked back, and a leathery shirt," I explained.
Then I remembered the words she uttered before I saw her:
"Avada Kedavra!"
And as I remembered those words, I recalled the shrill, supersonic green light that flickered from - where did it come from?
"She said this incantation, like a spell. There was a wolf, you see. It was tracking us. She saw it and said that incantation and then the wolf...just like that... It was dead," I said informally, "And there was a flash of green light before the wolf died." Arthur and Molly had looks of complete horror on their faces. The twins' eyes bulged. Percy dropped the broomstick he was handling. Ron kept his codfish face. Ginny was pale, and looked as if she might regurgitate. Molly pursed her lips and looked at Arthur. "The trace," he stated. Ron was still acting like a codfish. Ginny's eyes bulged, and Percy had a look of angst on his face. A sly smile spread across the twins' faces as they goggled their eyes. "You're a witch," they said simultaneously, focusing their eyes to me.
"I'm a what?"
