My name is Matt Jenson, I have always lived in a place called the Arcaniam, it's a place where your taken from your family to control your power. I never knew my parents because of my "Gift". Each year three kids born with any elemental power are taken here, I was one of them. There are 7 elements you can be born with and they are water, air, earth, fire, life, time, and the forbidden blood magic. Each set of three students are separated into groups so you're stuck with the same two people for the rest of you time here.the only way out of the Arcaniam is to become a Grand Master and leave yourself. There are four ranks you can achieve. The first one is Sencler, that's the lowest of the four. Then it's Vencir, that's where people go once the three in your group pass the test. After that you get promoted by top Teers to Kenza, that's the highest rank you can get besides being Grand Master. Grand masters are basically commanders of all the other Arcanians. No one knows how they're chosen. I am a Sencler right now. One of my partners are a Russian kid named Dmitri Kravchenko and the other is a girl from America named Kendall Alexander. I wouldn't say that we're friends but we're not enemies either. The Arcaniam has five floors, including a basement, Where tests take place. All of my fellow senclers live on ground level. The goal of all students is to leave this place because of the fact that all Grand Masters couldn't care less about the students health. Not all of us make it.
