Come out , come out, where ever you are…
I wasn't alone.I can feel the presence of another immortal on the woods.
“What do you want?!” I shouted in desperation and my voice reverberated on every direction of that place. My question was answered by the wind. I could smell death brought by the wind and the faltering heartbeat of a dying human somewhere. I clenched my fists.
As fast as the wind itself, I moved.
Then he came. Out of nowhere he appeared like a desert bandit, snatched and pulled me away from that place.
“Don’t be stupid, Vnym .They are strong and many, more than you can handle” growled the strong creature abducting me.
                        Vnym?!
I wiggled and wrestled the creature.
My strength and speed weren’t ordinary and I knew that. Yet I couldn’t make a move against him. It angered me so much that I felt so helpless I could not free myself from his strong grasps.
“Stop wiggling if you don’t want to get noticed” he putted me down, removed his palm from covering my mouth.
                        I didn’t wait a second.
I turned around. Far from my vision of ugly baboon, I was faced with the most beautiful creature I have ever seen in my entire immortal existence.
“Who are you?” I demanded after a minute of losing my voice. I immediately looked at him on the eyes.
                          He’s not my kind.
That I’m certain, yet he’s definitely not a mortal.
“Let’s get out of here” he said instead of answering my question.
“I don’t follow orders from a stranger like you” I hissed.
“Do not argue with me if you know what’s good for you, my lady. At least not this very hour…” the beautiful creature’s lips twitched.
“I said I don’t follow orders from stranger” I walked closer to him.
"Did anyone tell you you're stubborn,Vnym?” my name sounds so natural on his lips. Like he had been uttering it for centuries.
“Who the hell are you?” I grabbed him on the neck.
                      My hand grabbed nothing.
He’s fast. Who was he, really? My curiosity started to overpower my will to secure my own safety.
“Like I said, there’s no time for that, Vnym. Either they already knew you’re here or we leave. Your choice” he came closer.
“We?” I can’t believe I am having this kind of conversation with an unidentified creature like this man standing five meters across me.
He nodded, impervious with the glitter of anger I made sure he’d see on my face.
My face tightened with the obvious challenge.
In a blink of an eye, my fingers were around his neck.
“I work alone” I whispered, made the grip tighter. “Had you not stopped me, I could have done something to save the victim’s life_”
                       “I told you, they are many.You can’t survive them_Arggh!_”
                        I squeezed.
“What is it to you? Listen here,I do not care who you are and what brought you here, just stay out of my way. Clear? Now, leave” I buried my nails to his flesh, making him fully understand the message.
My long nails cut him deep until blood oozed from there.
                       Blood.
                       Rattled.I pushed him.
“Who are you?!” I desperately asked again, baffled with the effect of his blood on me. His blood smell so different.
My mouth began to water. My tongue moved out and wet my craving lips.
                       What’s happening?
What was there on the smell of his blood for me to crave this much? Make my guard down?
                       I was bewildered.
Saan nanggagaling ang kagustuhan kong abutin ang lalaki at sipsipin ang dugong nagmumula sa nilikha kong sugat?
I had never felt this kind of thirst before, yet I felt exactly that.
                        Thirsty. So much.
My throat felt dry. Like the only thing that could sate me was his…blood.
Tumikhim ng malakas ang lalaki.Lumapit siya bago ako matamang  tinitigan.
                         Wrong.
Hindi niya ako basta tinititigan.Mayroon itong kung ano’ng ginigising sa aking kaibuturan at ramdam na ramdam ko iyon.
                          Napaatras ako.
“Is that how you’re going to treat the one who saved you?”   he stepped closer. Dahilan upang muli akong mapaatras.
“I’d like to think you were suicidal a while back” he smiled, half-amused.
“I wasn’t” I answered defiantly. Suicidal? That’s very far from reality.
“What I said earlier was true” he ignored my reaction. “They are many. You might have fallen to their trap now if I did not come on time. Seeing how much they wanted you I would suggest…do not go for the obvious kill. You won’t get anything but defeat…” he wiped the oozing blood from his neck, zipped his jacket until the wound was covered.
I felt relieved.I let the suppressed breath out.
                          “Trap?” I mimicked.
                          “Yes”
“Why would they?” I indulged him while thinking on how to escape from there.
“You’re not my prisoner, Vnym. You don’t have to escape” he started walking away.
Nagulat ako.Nababasa ba nito ang aking iniisip?
“Wait. Why would they want to trap me?” napasunod sa kanya na tanong ko.Trap? Ito na ba ang pagsisimula ng mga nakasaad sa propesiya?
                            “You tell me…”
