"Incompetent fool!" Aliya buried her nails to Azuki's flesh. She's very angry. No,she's on the verge of going mad out of desperation.
This couldn't be happening.
Just like the first lunar eclipses, they failed to find the key.
And they are running out of time.At twenty four, the key will lose her power to bring Samara back to life. And that child will be turning twenty four on the next lunar eclipse!
They have to find her.
"Forgive me,my lady.I will go find her" Azuki said, apologetic.
"You'd better be! And kill her poster parents, limb to limb!" she hissed.
"As you wish,my lady" Azuki bowed down and gone.
Aliya closed her fists.Anger and desperation were consuming her and she could not let it happen. She have to stay calm.
But how?
They have been hunting down the two outcasts.
And still failed to find them.
Who would have thought they've given the key away to Marcus and Sophia?
Of course they knew them.Knew them well before the two decided to live as humans.
She wanted to blame Azuki for this ordeal. This could have not happen if only he made a background check.Partly, she too,was to be blame for rushing things before. Now they were faced with more obstacles.
Sophia and Marcus could be one of the greatest enemy they would have to defeat.Though they were outcasted,Marcus had still with him that one thing she wanted the most. The ability to hear thoughts and his profound knowledge about the prophecy. That could be the reason why they haven't found the key until now.
Marcus had been raring the key to go against them and be what he failed to be.The protector of humans as Mauri, his great ancestor was.
Mauri, the most hated creature as far as the Merganas is concern.
Aliya breathe hard.
Centuries have passed, and still,Samara lies lonely in her grave while she,as her ancestors before her failed to do their ultimate role.
She clenched her fists until her long, sharp nails wounded her own flesh.
She growled, lips twitched. With her arms stretched, she glided on the air to Samara's grave.Candles were lighted as she buried her fangs to her wrist.Blood flowed, followed the golden alley down to the inside of the grave.
In the silence of the night, she heard the silent growl of a creature in torment.
"We're almost there,Samara" she whispered.
A week later,Aliya received information about the Ramatas. They were moving secretly against them!
So,they sent the mark to fulfill the prophecy?Hah!
She could not afford that.
She did not wait lunar eclipses and centuries to come just to get failed in the end.
If she must have to summon the Merganas' powerful witches, she would.
Book of Ramata had already been burned, yet Mauri's kind and disciples do believed a mark will be born to kill the only hope of the Merganas.
The key.The first born, direct descendant of both the Ramatas and Merganas. The child with a burning blood and enchanting voice. The very key to which up to that moment wasn't on their paws and favor.
"Estivus Lavikus ero visperus"
In a blink of an eye, a goblet with the sacred blood of a virgin sacrifice appeared on Aliya's palm. She held it tightly...carefully, whispering on it before pouring the content to the golden bowl.
There was silence.
The only thing reverberating on that room was the words of enchantment Aliya was casting.
The liquid moved.Boiled for about a second before it became steady and calm
Enraged, Aliya grabbed the bowl and crashed it on the wall.
How on earth she always failed to see the god damn key?!
Growled of hatred echoed on that place.
Aliya stayed quiet for a long long time, staring on the fragments of the bowl.
Until an idea came.
If she can't see on her black magic the key...then maybe she could find and meet the mark?
She smiled.Devilishly smiled.
