Chapter 1

"Woah, Vic don't get too full of yourself," my best friend grace announces.

"Im not don't you think that it would work better if I wasn't the only one sling-shoting my headband at the judges?!" I am so sick of my stupid coach. When is she going to realize that me becoming freaking Katniss Everdeen going to get me my spot back in state.

"I know I wish I could hurt the judges too! But, it was you who had the whole 'incident' last year," she's right.

"Vic were at your house see you tomorrow!" Graces mom says, I don't get it she drops like half of the team home and is still the most stable person I know. After I unlock the door I hear my brother and his girlfriend making out.. Again.

"Get a room!" I yell.

"Shit I thought you were at practice until 4!" He should start looking at clocks more.

"I was its 4:30."

"Oh. Hey Angie let's go upstairs, my sister is being annoying again." Oh my god Liam, I'm the older one remember? After they walk up stairs my phone buzzes in my pocket. It's my other best friend Zayn. He lives right across the street so we just started haning out and now were best friends.

*can you come over there's a new kid I want you to meet*

I immediately text back, *yeah I'll be over in five*

After getting out of my leotard and getting all of the damn chalk off of my hands and my hair I walk over to Zayns. There is an all black car in his driveway, it must be the new kids, I think to my self.

I guess I'm kind of excited to meet him\her I'm not sure on weather it's a boy or a girl yet but I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I knock on the huge wooden door and I see Zayns friendly face as he opens it, behind him I see dark curls and emerald eyes.
