Lavendar screamed as the body edged closer towards her. Suddenly, it opened it's mouth. Well, spit out ungodly amounts of sand and then spoke.

"Aw fuck. What the hell is all this noise about?"

-

Lavender screamed again. At least she could make out the form. It was a girl, around her age maybe. Instinctively, she asked, "Who are you?!"

The sand, she-monster spoke, shaking her head vigorously in a failed attempt to rid her long, black hair of sand.

"Um...that's a good question. I don't know."

"Whatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuckohgod."

"Sorry, I don't speak Spanish. Who are you?"

Those were the last words Lavendar Hollis heard before fainting, waking up to the sensation of being dragged and then dropped, fainting again, and then waking up to a crowd of faces murmuring and mumbling above her, about her. Busy arguing, they didn't seem to notice her stirring so she kept her eyes shut and listened.

"Is she awake?"

"Who is she?"

"Omg her skin is so clear."

"I can't believe you dropped a real, living person twice."

"Maybe she's dead?"

"Pinch her."

"Wha- why would I pinch a dead person?! That is so rude."

Lavendar felt a sudden pinch on her arm and jolted upright.

"Oh fu(censored) she's alive! Ha, suck it!"

Around her, various faces held various expressions. Some looked at her in mixed horror/confusion, others with empathy. One kid had fainted, although the others were yet to notice. Lavendar couldn't locate the sand monster in the crowd of faces, maybe she'd finally dusted herself off. They were all maybe 15-18, a mix of girls and boys, a little disheveled looking, a little lost, and about 5 in total (or at least 5 was the number of people crowding around her, god knows how many more were lurking). Why did they have her?

"Wh-where...where am I?"

She repeated the words, angrier and more confused by the second. All around her was an island paradise, like something out of a movie and yet, she felt neither lucky nor particularly relaxed. Bits and pieces of Lavendar's memory were coming back to her, but in a confusing haze. A fragment here and there. Trip, plane, island, trip, game, plane-

"You're on an island." A pretty brunette answered matter-of-factly, flatly.

It sounded like she had given the speech before. Lavendar held on to every word as she continued,"...You're on an island. With us, " She flailed her arms around for a second in a matter indicating Lavendar should look around. "And um, yeah. That's all there is to it really. We're all stuck on this goddamn island. We're fu(bleep bloop) ed, I guess."

Lavendar took it all in. Her surroundings, the faces that had now mostly lost interest in her and moved about lost and confused. She took it all in and then, just as quickly, layed back down onto the warm sand and fell asleep. This was simply a very bad, very vivid dream. And all she needed to do was wake up, right?
