My Mistakes....

Friday Night 7:27 P.M

I had just gotten off for the night and after a 17 hour long shift at the hospital, & the only thing i have planned is going home to soaking my aching feet & relaxing in a hot bubble bath with a tall glass of wine. I also wanted to finish writing up this poem that i have been working on so that i could perform it at the Hugo House Tomorrow night. I pulled into my driveway only to see my one of my close girlfriends Hummer parked in my parking spot. I rolled my eyes and parked beside her gathering my work bag with everything else i needed to bring in the house for the night with me closing the door but not before hitting the lock button.

Assuming she let herself in with her key she has to my house i walked in the house and sat my things down on the kitchen island taking my shoes off in the process. I walked up to my room with my shoes & a bottle of wine in my hand only to see her tossing a dress along with a few rompers onto my bed from my closet.

''Kali What The Hell Are You Doing?''i sat the bottle on the dresser tossing my shoes down She jumped at the sound of my voice kissing her teeth acknowledging my presence as if it wasn't welcome in my own house   ''SHOOT! she covered her hand over her heart ''Girl you startled me'' she walked out the closet and stood at my bed putting outfits together ''You look like crap Sin''

''Considering i had back to back surgery's today i should i feel like it too, hell i barely had time to take a nap in between them, what you doing here? Can't find anything in your closet so you came to ransack mines? i laughed a little

I walked into the bathroom and started to run me a bath while taking my makeup off my face. Not that i wear a lot to work because its no use i gave myself a light beat today. I dropped one of my new bath bombs that i picked up from Bed Bath & Bodywork's on my way home tonight, continuing to wipe off my makeup Kali walked into the bathroom holding up a Simple Strapless Wide Leg Jumpsuit in one hand and Peach Off The Shoulder Floral Romper in the other ''Which one?''

I looked up from the mirror '' The Peach One, where you going with that on? You know Greg isn't going to want his Puddin walking out the house like that''  Puddin was her nickname her boyfriend gave her, i walked over to  turn the water off sitting on the edge of the bathtub looking at her

''Funny you said that" she smiled showing her yellow colored braces ''this outfit is for you, we are going out tonight to Greg's Cousins Club Grand Opening so hurry up and get ready we have to be there and its already'' She looked at the clock on the wall ''8:00, your sister Summer is on her way over here Bre'elle & Audrey said they'are going to meet us there'' she left the bathroom quickly before i could tell her no because she knows i don't like the club scene, i quickly followed behind her right on her heels

''Kali i'm NOT going i just got off of a seventeen hour shift i'm tired and i need sleep.'' i folded my arms over my chest mugging her as she laughed in my face ''Sincere you don't think i KNOW your tired? i was gonna let you get a power nap silly'' she tapped my nose going back into my closet now looking for shoes to match my outfit she thinks i'm wearing tonight. I Pinched the bridge of my nose tapping my foot ''Look i know you want me to go out have fun with my little sister and my best-friends but i'm tired and i already have plans tonight''. she poked her head out the door frame opening her mouth to speak

''Bruh if you call taking a bubble bath drinking wine with music sappy ass K. Michele music playing in the background having plans then you might as well cut and kill that plan sis.'' My little sister summer walked into my room tossing her makeup bag and cheer-leading duffel bag on my bed, she's 21 and attends Whitman University.
