I sat with him, under the pale moonlight. Even though we were in the dark, I could see the soft features of his face, his lips pursed slightly, eyebrows furrowed, deep in thought. "The Queen will come to find me soon, I'm afraid," He finally says, turning to look at me. At that moment, I wanted to think nothing, I just wanted to spend that moment, together with him, right there. "We don't have to be afraid, do we? We have now, together," I say, but I know it is not true. Both of us know that if the Queen descends to Earth, it will be the end. For us. For me."Descend to Earth, and kill her." The Queen ordered. "May I know the reason why you want me to kill this mortal?" He asks. "Her beauty... Way too ethereal, her beauty, comparative to mine? This is something I would not tolerate. Eliminate her." Venus simply said. "I expect you to be back by the 29th Lunar moon."
"I will get going now, Mother." Cupid stood up, and prepared to leave.
He prepared 3 Poison arrows, and prepared his journey to descend from the Heavens, to find the girl, whom he is tasked to kill.
His descend did not take long, he landed on the tip of a mountain top not long after. He looked down the mountain, and could see a cottage amongst the trees. He could hear, the sound of the water running down the rivers, the birds harmonious whistles, the trees swaying with the melody of the wind. He loved it, being surrounded by the mortal nature. He closed his eyes, his mind finding the sense of peace. He then hears her, the girl, Calliah. He can hear, the way her feet shuffled across the wooden floors of her own cottage, he can hear the soft tunes she was humming. He is sure, that she was in the cottage.
He then made his way down the mountain. By the time he reached the cottage, the sun has already set beyond its horizons. He stood outside her cottage, wondering how he should approach her.
"Oh, good evening Sir. Are you lost?"
He sees a girl, wearing a white night dress that barely reaches her knees, revealing her soft, milky skin. Her hair is a light brown, a little frizzy and messy, but he was still appalled by her beauty. Her eyes were blue, wait, did he see purple in it? It looked like it held the entire galaxy just in those eyes. Right, how could he forget? If Venus mentioned that she was on par with her beauty, she really meant it. The lady that stood before him, was just, ethereal.
"Oh, um, good evening to you too. I am afraid I am. Do you have room for me to stay for the night?" He decided that will be how he would implement his plan. Stay, sleep, kill.
"Ah, I see. Yes, I do. Do come in, it is cold. I just made dinner, would you like some?" She asks, leading Cupid in her house, not knowing her fate will be decided on this fateful night.
