Mark's Point of View

It's been weeks since Lyka had given me the silent treatment. She hasn't spoken to anyone in school either. It worries me in a way that It doesn't. I kind of think she deserved to be brutally punished like that by Eros so that she could at least contemplate and change for the better. But the problem with that girl  is that she never learns; She never gives up.

"Ang gaga niya pala." i unceremoniously mumbled as I walk my way home with chenle eating his 3rd strawberry yogurt already.
"Eh hyung, diba dapat andun ka sa tabi niya? Chance mo na eh" chenle softly replied with an apologetic look in his face. "Mabubulok siya don mag-isa." he added, licking his lips to clean up the smudge on his mouth.

I sighed bitterly and rolled my eyes in utter disbelief. "Di ko na problema yun. Kasalanan niya lahat kung bakit siya nagkaganyan"

"Sabihin mo nalang, takot kang itaboy na naman."

I halt sternly and firmly on the ground as a realisation struck my head for a moment. I looked at chenle with a bemused expression while biting the inside of my cheeks.

"Oh ano na Hyung? May gagawin ka nanamang kalokohan?" he added, chuckling. "Hindi no... Parang... Natatae ako."

"Anak ng—akala ko ba pupuntahan mo siya ngayon at i comfort siya?!"

"—hala, good idea rin yan. Pero first, tatae muna ako." I teased.

I waved good bye to chenle while running to the other direction—to her house.

I was just stalling a while ago. I did have plans on seeing her today. I intentionally lied of thinking about shitting beforr actually going to her house. I mean, what's mark without saying something irrelevant and stupid at serious times?

I ran as fast as I could—too fast that I think my heart will combust inside my chest.

It's rainy season at our place therefore, the chances of me getting wet before arriving at Lyka's house is 99.9% since the skies above me are gradually turning into humid and dark clouds. The illumination of the sun was hidden behind the thick clouds and it was only 4 in the afternoon; it made the entire place feel like 6pm.

When i was only a house away from her, I stopped for a moment and heaved my chin to catch some air. I slouched down to the ground with my arms pinned on the asphalt pavement, supporting half of my body.

I breathed in deeply to hold in my composure because for some reason, my hands and knees won't stop from shivering.

The wind started to blow stronger than ever. The leaves that cling onto the twigs of the trees started to blissfully swing as the wind hit past through them. And here I am, facing a dull and rough surface, my sweat dripping like the morning dew.

I swallowed the lump in my throat for one last time and finally mustered up some courage.

I quickly ascend from my position and was surprised when Lyka was already standing in front of me, bafflement evident in the expression of her face.

Instinctively, I shoved Lyka with my arms and pulled her right to me.  Since Lyka is unexpectedly as tall as I am, I only managed to let her chin rest on my shoulder.
