The sun finally rise and the light enter my window. I yawn as I sit up and stretch my feet.

'I can't wait for tonight.' I went to the bathroom and brush my teeth, and I change from my PJs into a casual outfit. "Melody sweetheart! It's time for breakfast." I heard dad called me from down stairs. I grab my phone, exit my room, and went down stairs to have breakfast. When I enter the dining room I saw my dad and his family eating breakfast on a wide table. The dining table was really wide, and the dining room is 2 times bigger than my house.

'This how rich people live. They need so many big rooms.'

"Oh Melody dear please come and join us." Margaret said. She was sitting beside Jessica, who was eating a couple of waffle. I nodded to Margaret, and I sat down across from them. While my dad was sitting next to me.

"How was your room sweetheart?" My dad ask me as he read his morning newspaper.

"My room is fine. I slept like a kitten." I replied as I pick up two pancakes, and place them on my plate. I pick up my fork and use it to eat my pancake. 'Hmm... I think it could use some syrup and butter.' I thought as I grab a plate of butter and a bottle of maple syrup. My dad is always busy with his work which is the reason why my mom and dad separated. I was at the age 13 when my parents separated. As I eat my pancake I stare at my dad and it seems that he hasn't change a bit. He always focus more on his work rather than his family. When he and mom got separated after 2 years dad married Margaret, and they became a family with my stepsister Jessica.

"So Melody dear. Jessica told me that you found a job." Margaret said as she sip her cup of tea. I look at Jessica, but she just avoiding my eyes. I can't believe she told her mom that I have a job this summer. She's going to look down at me. "Yes ma'am. I think having a job this summer will help me to save money." I replied to Margaret. Then she smiled and look at me.

"That's really nice dear. I'm really glad and proud that you are growing to become an independent woman." Margaret said, and I got really happy that she said that she's proud of me. Jessica cough when she took a sip of her tea. "Ahem... I'm sorry. What?" Jessica ask as she turns to her left side to face her mom. "Jessica dear. I said that I'm proud of Melody." Margaret replied. "B-but why?" Jessica ask.

"Why you ask dear? Hmm... Well let's see... I'm proud of Melody because she is more independent. And I can see that she's going to have a bright future." Margaret drink her tea, while Jessica's mouth was open in shock. I ate my pancake as I smiled a little because for the very first time Margaret is really proud of me. I guess she finally see that Jessica is such a slacker.

After breakfast I headed to Bryan's restaurant. I enter the kitchen of the restaurant and saw Bryan was preparing the materials for tonight.

"You need a hand?" I ask him.

"Sure. Could you help me carry this boxes to the van?" He pointed a couple of box that he already pack.

"Okay. I'll carry them." I said as I gave him a hand to carry some of the box. It was a little heavy, but I guess this how job are supposed to be. You need a little hard work to get a good money. Tough it was difficult work I had a good time with Bryan, and it was really nice talking with him. His really the best boss ever I'm so lucky to have him as boss.

"Mel you don't mind me asking, but why does the address that you gave me was in the rich place?" Bryan ask.

"Well my dad lives there with his family. So I stay when I visit London." I answer.

"Wait. Your dad and his Family?" Bryan was a bit confuse.

So I told him about my mom and my dad, and what happen to my family. He seems to understand my pain and we continue preparing.

Few hours later Bryan and I finally finish packing the materials.

"What's next sir?" I smiled at him, Bryan look at me and his cheeks were a little pink when I smiled at him. "Oh um... I guess that's all of it. You can go and I'll pick you up at your house tonight. You can go home now." He said as he wipe his sweat off his forehead.

"But how about the food that we're supposed to cook? Shouldn't we prepare the food as well?" I ask him. "It's fine. I can handle preparing the food. You should take a break and I'll pick you up at 6:30 pm later. When we arrive the place we should start cooking. Understand?" He said. I nod my head for him to know that I understand. "Yes sir!" I salute him and put on a big smile on my face.

Time skip....

"Hmm... The uniform that Bryan gave me really looks good on me. I look like a hot waitress." I pose in front the mirror like a silly person.

'Knock knock...' There was a knock on the door. I open the door to see who was knocking, when I open the door Jessica enter wearing a reviling dress. 'Woah. Is she going to a party or strip club? Sheeesh...' I thought.

"What are you wearing sis??" She ask as she look at me from head to feet with her left brow up. "Oh you mean my uniform? It looks good on me isn't it?" I replied and smiled to her, but she just gave a chuckle. "Oh sis. You don't know any taste in fashion. Anyway I'm here to check on you if you were ready." Jessica said as she crosses her arms and sat down on my bed. "Why would you want to know if I'm ready?" I ask her and she just got irritated. "Are you stupid or what sis?? You're going to the party with me. And I'm going to come with you to meet Dylan." She said as she gave me a smile, but to me that smile is really fake.

I sigh as I open the door for her to leave. "I'm sorry Jessica but I was planning that I would go to the party with my boss. It is my first day of job." I said. I rolled her eyes and stood up. She walk out of my room and just before I close the door she turn and faced me.

"Just so you know. I'm the one here helping you and you just throw it away for just a stupid job." She said right to my face and walk downstairs. I rolled my eyes and close the door. Later the doorbell rang. I walk down stairs and open the door. Bryan was outside waiting for me, he was also wearing the same uniform like mine.

"Wow... The uniform that I gave you really suits you." He said as eyes were wide open. It seems that uniform really suits me after all. I smiled at him and nodded. "Thanks. I'm really glad to hear that my uniform suits me. Hehe"

I saw a little red on Bryan's cheek as he scratch the back of his head. "Oh um. No problem. Hehehe." He said and there was a moment to silent. "So are you ready to go?" He ask and I nodded. I walk with him to the van and he open the door of the van for me to enter.

On our way to the place I was really nervous. I can't believe I'm going to meet Dylan here at the party. What should I do? Should I just be myself or be a little sassy girl. I don't know what to do. I'm so nervous Dylan is always been in my mine the whole ride to the party.

"Beep beep..." I got a message, so I pull my phone out of my pocket to see who it was. And then I saw it was Dylan who send me a text message.

Dylan: You are too generous to travel with me. I believe you spoke to my heart last night, and has thought me to hope.-Darcy

Melody: Those were such beautiful words from the book :*

Dylan: I know. I really want to say it to you for in person :*

Dylan is such a sweet person and I really can't stop thinking about meeting him tonight. I hope he'll be surprise to see me.
