Days went by with Lucy, being stuck in a wheel chair was no picnic. My first day back at school and rumors had been spread about how it happened. And EVERYONE knew about my mom.
"Just ignore them." The golden haired godess whispered to me. 'Easier said than done.' I thought as I looked around at our classmates. They all seemed to be silently giggling, maybe even thinking 'Not even a mother could love a fat girl.'
I sighed, turning away from everyone and holding onto my bag a bit tighter. We had almost reached out first class when Lucy suddenly stormed off toward a very smug looking man. Xavier Collings.
"You smug little fuck!" Lucy shouted, a defening smack being heard. The number of people who let out a gasp was no shock to me. I stared at her, my jaw nearly to the floor. "This is all your fault!" She continued. "And you don't even try to help or make things right!"
Xavier still had that stupid grin on his face as he rubbed his cheek softly. "You're quite fiesty aren't you." His eyes roamed over to me quick and short, no sign of remorse this time. "It looks like you've got this handled. Besides, what's she going to do? Her own mother doesn't even care for her." He shrugged and walked away, chuckling to himself.
If looks could kill my best friend would have just commited murder.
