Alexandria’s POV

While the director finished giving us our places and roles, I was still trying to figure out who Liam was and why I felt like I knew him.

“Okay, everyone, can you introduce yourselves to each other, before we start.” the director said.

I saw Liam ad I walked up to him, so that I could find out if I knew him in any way.

“Hey, I’m Liam Payne.” he said with angst, suddenly I remembered

“Liam! Is that you? It’s me Alex, Alex Smith!” I was so happy to see him again

“Oh my goodness, I knew you looked familiar.”

“Yeah, I think the last time we talked was your 13th birthday.”

“I remember. That was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.”

The director said that it was time for rehearsal, I had so much catching up to do with Liam but we could do that another time. When I looked over at Harry, I could see that he was thinking about something, almost as if he was trying to figure something out. I hope he doesn’t think that I’m weird after what he overheard last night. I’ll explain at Starbucks.

After rehearsal, I could hear Liam and Harry’s conversation about me.

“You know Alex.” Harry said curiously

“Yeah, when she was 11 she moved to England to live with her grandmother after a family incident. We were best friends; we dated until she was 13. She had to move back to New York and it was the day of my birthday, but she missed her flight to stay with me. She was the first girl I ever loved.” Liam said, with the brightest smile

I didn’t know he loved me, we were only 13.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Harry said still trying to figure everything out

“Because you told me her name was Alexandria Lopez. Back then she was going under her mom’s last name.”

I stepped in, not wanting to hear any more of what Liam had to say, afraid of what he was going to add.

I tapped his arm, “Are you ready?”

We drove to Starbuck’s separately because I had my car and he had to drop Niall off at the hotel, but it was good, it gave me time to think about how I was going to answer the question I knew he was going to ask “How do you know Liam?”, even though Liam answered that question for him, he’s still going to ask. Should I tell him what happened, why I even went to England? The only person I’ve ever told that story to was Liam.

I got to Starbuck’s and Harry was there at a table waiting for me. I still wasn’t sure what I was going to do but, I’ll just “wing it” I guess.

“Hey, thought you weren’t going to show.” He said joyfully

“I’d never do that; I try to keep my promises.” he handed me a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino

“How’d you know that was my favorite?”

“I guessed,” he laughed, “I don’t want to pry or anything, but how do you know Liam?”

I knew that question was coming.

“It’s a really long story, if I told we’d be in here for hours.”

“Fine then, let’s go back to the hotel. You could tell me there.”

I thought he’d back out of hearing the story after I said it was going to be a long story, but no, he just has to know, doesn’t he?

“Um, sure.” I said with hesitation

We walked to his room, it was so fun, he actually told me a lot of stuff about himself. Once we got there, he sat me down.

“So tell me?”

“What?” I said, not wanting to tell him

“C’mon, you know what I’m talking about.”

“Okay, so I lived in New York all of my life, but something happened over there, so my mom sent me to England to live with my grandmother. Once I got there, I wasn’t really that use to the accents and everything, so I kept quiet, and also because I was scared people would laugh at my Brooklyn accent. You know think I’m like a thug or something,”

He laughed, “So, the first day I started school was when I was 11 and I didn’t have much friends. But one day a boy bumped me in the hall and I said ‘I am sorry!’ and the boy looked up at me and replied ‘You have the nicest voice ever.’ And from that day on we were best friends. A couple months later in November, he bought me one red rose and asked me to be his girlfriend. Liam was that nicest guy I’ve ever met. We dated for 2 more years, until my mother decided it was time for me to come back home to got to acting school. She booked the flight on August 29th, which was Liam birthday. I felt so bad; I couldn’t leave him so I didn’t go on plane at all and stayed for his birthday. After that day we never talked again.”

Harry face had the weirdest expression on it.

“So did you love him?” he asked

“Yes, I loved him, but I wasn’t in love with him.”

“Well, I was talking to him about it earlier today and, he said,” then he hesitated, “maybe you guys should talk this over.” He looked disappointed when he said that

“Harry, don’t look like that. And by the way I know.”

“You know what?”

“Louis told me that you ‘fancy’ me.” I lied. I wanted to see what he was going to say

He looked so embarrassed. “Well I wanted to tell you that myself.”

“Too late.”

“After tomorrow’s final filming, you’re gonna go to England and I’m going back to L.A, so it wouldn’t matter.” I said

“Hmm, there are many ways around that obstacle.”

“How?”

“I don’t know the answer to that question at the moment.”
