Hey, guys. My life is going pretty good right now and I am enjoying it. A lot. I didn't post it yesterday but to make up for it I am posting 2 chapters today. So 3 chapters per week. I would like to thank everyone who took out their time to read this book. Enough of my speech, hope you enjoy this chapter.
The house was silent except for the muffled voices of the adults downstairs. Suddenly, a high pitched scream was heard. The house was engulfed in flames of red, yellow and orange. They were gone. "Nooooooo!!!! You can't leave me!!! Come back!!!! Nooooooo!!!!" "Thea!!! Thea!!!" She felt someone shaking her.
She opened her eyes and jumped up from her sleep. She looked around and saw that her mother, Bella and Carl were looking at her with concern. Carl had a glass of water in his hand. She felt her face and neck. They were drenched in sweat, and water which was used to wake her up. Her clothes were stuck to her body in sweat.
"What happened? Why am I drenched in sweat?", asked Thea. "We should be asking you the exact same thing. We were in our rooms when we suddenly we heard you scream. We came here and saw that you were screaming and shaking with sweat in your sleep. We threw water on you to try and wake you up, but it didn't work. Then, I shook you really hard, sorry about that, and then you finally woke up," said Carl.
He looked like he was about to cry. Just as Thea was about to say something, Carl pounced on her and engulfed her in a hug. Thea was speechless. "Carl....." "Thea, I got scared. Really scared." He loosened his grip. "But I am really happy that you are fine. You are fine, aren't you?" Thea nodded her head.
Carl wiped his tears off with the back of his hand. Thea realised that she had never seen Carl cry before. She also realised that she was also crying. She wiped her tears and smiled at Carl in gratefulness. Mrs. White cleared her throat. "Sorry to break your twin thing, but can we know why you screamed, Thea?" Thea tried to remember.
"It's all very hazy, Mom. I only remember that there was fire. Lots of fire." Her eyes widened in horror. She suddenly got up. "I need to inform Jonathan about this.", she muttered under her breath. She went downstairs. The children were left staring at each other in confusion. "What was that about?", asked Bella. "Nothing good, I'm sure," answered Thea.
Meanwhile, Mrs. White was talking to her husband on the phone. ".......she can't know the truth yet. We need to find out a way to stop these dreams." "Relax, Millie. I don't think she can figure it out yet. We'll talk about this once I come home. Bye, Millie." "Bye, Jonathan." She put down the phone and went back to her work in the kitchen.
What she didn't know was that a certain teenage boy with brown wavy hair and brown eyes had heard this conversation and was currently going up the stairs in slow motion.
