The Other Frangipane

It is officially midnight and I am sneaking downstairs, being careful not to trip over anything or wake anybody up. I was almost to the door when I hear.........
"Caught red handed Bailey" My 28 year old brother Sevain says scaring me. I jump
"What the fuck Sevain!" I whisper yell at him. He just laughs. "What are you doing down here?" I ask
"You think I wouldn't find out if my little sister's sneaking out in the middle of the night?" He asks "Now...." He crosses his arms exactly like Dad when he gives us punishments. "Where are you going?"
"None of your business" I try to to push past him but he stops me. "Where are you going?" He asks again. I roll my eyes
"I'm going to LA, to visit Ashley" I say. My brother frowns. "LA? By yourself? Are you serious?" "You see, this is why I didn't wanna tell you. You'll try and stop me from going"
"Bails, LA is just so far away from New Jersey....And if you're going to be flying by yourself then....that's dangerous. You sure you're ready for something like this?" He asks sternly
I roll my eyes again "I'm 18. I can take car of myself, and besides if I want to visit Ash, then I shouldn't have to tell you guys" I say "You're right. I'm sorry, Bailey, I just...I just want you to be safe y'know? You're my baby sister" Sevain tells me I smile
"Thanks Sev, don't tell Mom and Dad ok? Or Dante, I don't want him worrying" "Don't worry. I won't" He smiles "Thanks" I say again as I head out the door to the airport
Time skip................
As I'm on my flight I decide to call Ashley
"Hey Ash," I say through the phone "Hey Bails!" Ashley exclaims I laugh "How's everything back home?"
"Everything's good. I'm actually heading to LA right now. Are you still up for a midnight sleepover?" I ask
"Hell yeah! I'm so excited! I'll see you in a few hours, ok?"
"Yeah. See you Ash, love you"
"Love you too" I hear her say before I hang up
Time skip............
A few hours later I'm heading to the baggage line as I see a girl with blue shoulder length hair running towards me
I smile "Ashley!" I yell as I hug her "Bailey!" She hugs back in a bone crushing squeeze "Don't kill me Ash," I laugh "Oh sorry, I've just missed you" "I missed you too" I say
We grab our stuff and we head back to her place
Time skip................
"So how's tour life treating ya?" I ask my sister as we open the door to her apartment "Good, It's so amazing to see smiles on people's faces" Ashley tells me
"I know right?" I agree as we sit down on the bed "So what do you wanna do?" Ashley asks "Remember when we were little we always used to have these sleepovers and Mom would yell at us for making a mess out of her record collection" I ask "The Brand New and Nirvana" Ashley sighs "Of course I remember that"
"Ok, so about you...." She turn to me "Any boys?" "I wish....but no" I tell her "Boo!" Ashley yells I laugh "It's not all that bad though" I tell her "Ok whatever ya say" She mumbles
"So....how'd you get here? I doubt Mom and Dad let you fly out by yourself" "Oh they didn't. Sevain actually caught me sneaking out, he let me fly out here by myself. And technically since I'm a adult. Mom and Dad can't do anything about it. But they still don't know" I tell her
"Bold move. But ya know he just wants to protect you. You're his baby sister" Ashley says "You are too" I state "True" She points out
"So how are the songs coming along?" I ask "Pretty good. I released "Sorry" yesterday" "I love that fucking song!" I yell "Don't curse honey" Ashley says I roll my eyes "Yes Mom" I joke "Don't call me Mom" Ashley says "Ok Ash" I mumble "I'm gonna get a shower" I state "Ya didn't have to tell me that" Ashley yells "Ok!" I yell back
Time skip................
After I get a shower I walk back to Ashley's room "Hey," I say "Hey, nice PJ's" She comments I look down to see my Patterned pants and my tank top "Thanks" I joke
"Oh but it's the devil that's tryna'" I sing "Hold me down, hold down sneaking out the back door make no sound" Ashley sings "Knock me out. Knock out" "Saying that I want more. This is what I live for" Ashley sings
"That was so amazing!" I yell "I'm glad to see my sister's a fan of my music" Ashley grins "Since day 1" I tell her
I look at the clock and it says 3:00 am
"Oh shit! It's 300 am" I tell her "Let's go to sleep" Ashley yawns "When are you going home?" "In a few days probably" I shrug "Then I'm going with you" She says I smile "I love you Ash" I say "I love you too Bails" She tells me and we fall asleep
