Explanation:

Jade moved in with her mom's sister.  Jacqueline.  Jacqueline and Lucy were almost the same person.  They loved the same things, hated the same things, and looked similar because they were twins. Jacqueline married James's brother, Derek.

Once Jacqueline heard that Jade killed her sister and her niece, Jacqueline felt disgust for the child. But as soon as she and Derek heard what ACTUALLY happened, they sympathetically took Jade in. Jade hugged them both, thanking them for taking her in. She felt so bad and apologized 274 times to them. Literally. She felt so bad for what she had done.

They said it was the least they could do for her.

Jacqueline has two children, Elliot, and Katherine.  Elliot is 18, while Katherine is 17.  They both grew very warm to Jade quickly.

The firefighters had eventually put out the fire.  The ashes and fallen debris covered many things, but they finally found the bodies. They brought Jade to the body examination, and as soon as Jade saw her sister, flesh melted, covered in ashy black blood, she burst out crying and ran to the waiting room. She didn't bother to see her parents as it would've just made her cry harder.

The scientists from the center recall Jade whispering under her breath, "I made her cry, and I killed her.." and "I'm so sorry."

As Jade grew older, the experience always stuck with her.  Anytime a candle was put in front of her, she would let out a tear.  Anytime someone asked why she lived with her aunt, she excused herself to the bathroom.

Neither of them teased Jade about the incident, they've never even brought it up.  The only time it's been brought up is annually when they visit the cemetery to give the flowers to James, Lucy, and Abby.

Jade's appearance was absolutely gorgeous.  She had red hair, like her deceased sister, that was beautifully curled into banana curls.  It was fluffy on normal days, too.  Her skin was clear, and she was quite short.  She grew to around the height of 5'4".  She was athletic, and played for her school's volleyball team.  She had gorgeous thighs, and was quite tan.  Her face had freckles all over it.  Her regular clothing choice was a pair of high waisted black jean shorts, a crop top or aesthetic shirt, and some silver high top converse.  Jade also wore a necklace that she had gotten from Abby when she was very young.  It had a little half heart that her sister could complete with her own necklace.

That heart would never fix.

Jade grew maturer, but also stranger.  She did sports, became more engaged with school, but also became less and less social.  She found it harder to start and continue conversations, terrified that she might mess something up.

She has limited friends in any classes.  One or two, if any.  She doesn't invite anyone over to her house, traumatized from the experience.

Jade started therapy when she was 12.   She goes weekly for school, social experiences, and things that remind her of the terrible event.  Her therapist, Donna Blue, never judges Jade for any thoughts she's had about her experience.  Any time she's bawled for the entire hour, or even just let a few tears loose, Donna listens and comforts her.  Donna also loves talking to Jade.  Jade has found a very sweet friend from Donna and loves speaking to her.

Jade is 17 years old now, and goes to Kismoth High School, school of the Yaks.  No one has ever really heard of them.  It's a very small school.

A Very Peculiar Day...

Jade woke up to the blaring of a loud alarm.  She sleepily lifted her eyelids to check the time.
