Sometimes you can't always be happy with life sometimes your life not always happy  there's darkness and no love at all we'll this my life and can't wait till y'all see how things really are

" Malachi it's time to get up , you have school " I shook me 6 year old brother

He was in first grade and was a very smart and honest boy just like me , I was very honest smart and outgoing and I showed it a lot

" niti do I have to go " he groan sitting up

" yes , you do so take a shower and I'll meet you downstairs I'm gonna go check on dad "

I walked out smiling going down to my dad room I knocked and got no respond I opened it and he was on the floor I ran towards him and sat next to him shaking him

" Daddy get up "

He moved and coughed looking at me and I helped him up on the bed and I looked around

" Daddy where is ma " I frowned

" baby girl I don't know she didn't come in last night " he say weakly

I sigh and walk to his dresser grabbing his pills and I frowned

" Daddy your pills are out and I just bought them 3 days ago "

" I don't know what happen to them baby girl , your mom she been - " he began to cough and I walked to him rubbing his back

" she stole them again didn't she " I mumbled

He grabbed my hand and I looked in his face my daddy was diagnosed with Lung Cancer 4 years ago it wasn't all that bad but now it got worst he lost a lot of weight he is very skinny and barely eat my daddy was very handsome and still is he kept himself up but now he look lost and sick

" it'll be okay maybe she needed them "

" Daddy not as bad as you, you sick for god saints do she even care she been stealing your meds and I been struggling to keep buying them , that was your last refill I gotta buy you more refills " I stand up and I look at him

" your brother can't be late for school , I'll be okay go on to school Infiniti " he say closing his eyes

I kissed his forehead and walked away slowly Malachi was slowly walking to I sigh and walked with him I could only imagine what's going on in his head
We walked out the house and began to walk down the street

" have you seen mama " he ask kicking the rocks as we walk

" no , haven't seen her since last night " I reply putting my hands in my jean pocket

" oh , I have football practice today you coming to get my after school right " he ask looking up at me

" of course don't I always "

He smiled and before I knew it we was at the school I smiled and stop looking down at him fixing his clothes

" you have a good day at school today "
