Waking up for this 8 AM calculus class is becoming a real pain in my ass. I'm so tired of being tired, I don't know what to do. It's almost 7:30 and so far I have no intention of getting out of bed. Fuck it. Skipping one class won't kill me. Right in the mist of throwing my blanket back over my shoulder, my phone vibrated.

Who could this be so early in the damn morning?

Rolling over and grabbing my phone, I could see from the lit up screen and all the emojis that is was Diggy.

"Rise and shine, babygirl," sent with all the damn heart emojis Apple can offer.

Rolling my eyes, I sat up and stretched. "I'm tired," I replied and with the quickness he replied,

"Sleep is for the weak. Get to class."

Groaning loudly, I quickly confirmed that I would indeed not only go to my 8 AM calculus class, but that I would be on time and got ready for this dreaded day ahead of me.

Two classes down, one to go.

Walking into my Creative English class, I could only find motivation in walking out in 50 minutes. I wanted to back in bed so bad. I have no energy, no motivation. I just wanna go back to bed.

Taking my seat and getting out my laptop, I see a list of students names on the board. What the fuck is that? I rolled my eyes and prayed my name was not on that damn board. Luckily the print was too small and I couldn't see the names all that well, it helped me take my attention elsewhere.

"Afternoon class, as you can see your names are gathered on the board." Mrs. Falton said calmly.

Okay, so my name is there. But why?

"Our next project will be about different writing techniques. Now, each and every one of you posess a different writing technique, so what's better than learning from each other?"

Uh, learning from a book? I'm not a big fan of partner work, unless it's with Dig.

"I've gathered data from your previous papers from our class and had them generated to create your overall writing type."

Hm. Wonder what mine is.

"After finding out your writing types, I've paired you with the person who's completely opposite of you."

Oh no.

"Your assignment is to find your partner and explore their writing type. You will be expected to compose a ten page paper on their writing type. In the paper explain how it differs from yours, what you've learned and how you will go about using some of the strategies they use. Then a five page creative piece will be expected, with both writing techniques equally expressed throughout, when you submit the project in its entirety. The genre is your choice."

You've got to be kidding me.

"Rubric's are available on my desk. Project's due in exactly a month. Happy writing!"

Everyone starts moving towards the front of the room, eager to find out who their partners are.

I don't move.

I really don't wanna do this.

"Courtney aren't you gonna go see who your partner is?" A girl a few seats down from me asks.

"I really don't want to."

She sighs, "Yeah me either. We can go up there together if you'd like."

Doesn't really make it any better, but okay.

After agreeing to go up there with her, we were quickly making our way to the front of the class. Slowly making my way towards the board, I could slowly see my name and who I was paired with. I think the name starts with a K. I tried to think of people in the class whose names started with a K. We have Kayla, Kris, Kamryn, Kate. My partner could be anyone.
