A Small Situation

Ratchet's pov

Optimus and I walk into a different area of the base.

"Optimus, Bumblebee is not well. I have no idea what exactly is wrong yet, but I promise I will find out. And I will do everything in power to make sure he gets better but I can't promise that it isn't deadly." I inform Optimus and even if no one else could, I can see that his spark is broken.

"I understand..." he mumbles and I place a servo on his shoulder.

"I'll do everything I can Optimus, I promise." I say and he smiles slightly.

"Thank you old friend." He says and walks off. I sigh and go back to the med bay.

"Bring him over here." I say and the other three walk over with Bumblebee. Arcee places him down on the berth and he looks confused.

"Watchet, what you doing?" He asks and I sigh. This will not be easy. I bend down so I'm optic level with him.

"I'm just going to run a few tests, to find out why your tummy hurts, okay? I promise I won't hurt you." I say reassuringly and he nods slightly. I stand back up and grab the tools required for this. I find a needle, a few scanners and some other equipment. I start back towards Bee and he's whimpering.

"What? What's wrong?" I ask. He looks in the direction of what I'm holding. I look down at my servos.

"I scawed of needs..." he says. I spot the needle in my servos and sigh. Like I said, this won't be easy.

"Bumblebee, I promise it won't hurt you. I just need a little energon sample from you." I explain and his optics widen in fear and he backs up slightly. I put everything down and look for something to distract him with. I spot one of my many wrenches and sigh. I pick it up and take it to him.

"Here, you can play with this while I'm doing the other stuff okay?" He looks at it then quickly snatches it from my servos. Immediately he starts playing with it. I quietly go grab my equipment and go back over to the berth. I decide to save the needle for last so that he's not freaking out the whole time. I start scanning him and running a few other tests when all of a sudden I hear a big crash. I look up and see that Bulkhead tripped over his own pedes and nearly destroyed some of my equipment. All of a sudden, Bee starts yelling.

"Bukhed I needed dat!" He yells and throws the wrench as hard as he can. Bulkhead wasn't very far away from us and the wrench ended up actually hitting him. Smokescreen bursts out in laughter and I can tell that Arcee is trying hard not to laugh herself. Bulkhead gets up, rubbing his helm and Bumblebee starts to laugh. Optimus enters the room, a worried expression on his faceplate.

"What was that crash? Is everyone okay?" He asks and Bulkhead grumbles something. Smokescreen proceeds to tell Optimus what happened and by the end of it, he's looking at me. So I accidentally taught his kid to throw a wrench at Bulkhead, it's not exactly my fault he likes to copy people. I roll my optics at him and get back to work. Smokescreen goes to give Bee the wrench back but Bulkhead stops him.

"No, I don't want to get hit again." He says and Smokescreen takes the wrench back to my workstation, where it belongs. I realize I only have the needle left to do. I look at Bee and decide to quickly get it over with while he's distracted. I can tell that Optimus knows what's about to happen and I can also tell that he wants to come over to comfort him, but can't. I give him a look and quickly put the needle in one of Bumblebee's energon tubes. I take some energon and pull the needle out. Thankfully, he didn't notice it. I sigh in relief and quickly put the needle somewhere that he won't see it.

"Okay Bumblebee, we're all done." I say and he looks up at me.

"No need?" He asks and I nod my helm.

"Yes, no needle. I decided I didn't need to use it." I say and he smiles.

"Yay!" He shouts and goes over to Smokescreen.

"Wanna play?" He asks excitedly and Smokescreen, I could tell was about to say yes when suddenly, the alarms start going off. I run over to the computer and type in a few things.

"Decepticons." I say and Optimus looks up from what he was staring at. He seems relieved to have something to take his mind off of the activities of the past couple days.

"Autobots, transform and roll out." He says as I activate the groundbridge. Everyone transforms and drives through. I turn my back to close the bridge and as I do, I notice something. Bumblebee isn't where he was a moment ago. I quickly shut the portal and start looking for him. He probably ran off to go play or something. As I search for him, I start to worry that maybe he's no longer in the base. By the time I get back to the main room, I'm panicking slightly.

"Optimus, is Bumblebee with you?" I ask over the comm. He replies a moment later.

::I haven't seen him. Is he not in the base?:: he asks and I hesitate to answer.

"He's nowhere in here. I, think he pulled a Miko." I say and wait for his response. But he never does respond. This can't be good.

Megatron's pov

As I fight Optimus Prime, I hear his comm link go off. I try to listen to what the old doctor is saying on the other line. All I catch is Bumblebee. Hm, Bumblebee as in the scout I turned into a sparkling? Perfect. By look on Prime's faceplate, I'm assuming he foolishly followed the Autobots here. I kick Optimus down and transform into my alt mode and begin searching for the little scout. If Optimus truly cares about everyone on his team, he'll do as I say...
