Kaitlin's P.O.V.
It was the time that summer's not hot in Cheshire. I go to my job at the Game Hut. It's the most popular video game shop at Cheshire, and almost all England. I love the staff, always having a laugh or something every now and then. And then there's our boss, Megan Fox, who -almost- make this seem not like work.
"Shoot, it's 7:49." I say to myself. So only eleven minutes to get ready. I got to shower at five minutes (which, is record time) wore my uniform, and got on a taxi. Thankfully, no traffic.
"At the Game Hut, please." I say to the taxi driver.
"At a hurry, miss?" He asks me.
"Actually, yes, but-" I was cut off by the screech of the taxi.
"Woah!" I gasp.

After five minutes, I paid 20 pounds with tips, since I'm almost one minute late. I ran to the staff entrance (tripping by the process) to see no one.
"Wait, what? And why is it so dark?" I say to myself.
"Hello?" I shout. No reply. "Hel-lo?" Suddenly, the lights went on.
"Happy Special Worker Day, Katy!" Everyone shouted.
"Special? Really?" I say, really confused. Then Megan came out.
"Well, every year there's always a special worker that's doing well at work and apparently, it's you." Megan says, simply.
"Does that mean double salary?" I say, hopefully.
"Well then, okay. For my gift, double salary this two months." Megan says. Wait a minute, did she said, "gift"?
"Yeah, she just did, Kater-gater." Sophie says. Well I guess I said that out loud.
"And, anyways, this is my gift." Sophie says, handing me my gift. I opened the lid, seeing a photo framed of us in our uniforms.
"Aww, thanks Soap!" I joke. Everyone laughed.
"Hey! Don't call me soap! You lint!" She says. Everyone laughed again.
I think I did pretty well, based on the presents I got. I got an iPhone 5S from Leighnann, a GHD from Matt, a cookbook from Shane, some baking tools from Alisson, and two tickets to Hawaii from Jeremy.
"Happy Special Worker Day to you,
You belong to the zoo,
You're a monkey, you're a donkey.
You always smell like one too!"
Then every one laughed, including me. I did find it insulting, but you know what they say.
Because I don't know what they say.
"Blow the candles, Lint!" Sophie says, making everyone laugh. For the third time this day.
"Why of course, Soap!" I say, making everyone laugh again.
"But first, make a wish." Jeremy whispers in my ear, that sent me shivers down in my spine.
Jeremy is always the mysterious guy in our job. If everyone laughs, he's always the one who makes it stop. He's like Voldemort. But more handsome. Wait, did I said Jeremy was handsome?
"Are you done yet?" Shane said, impaitiently. I wish for Jeremy to be happy. After that I blew the candles.
"I'm done. Mane." I say, making everyone laugh, even Jeremy.
Even Jeremy.
Why did he bother me so much?
"And for my other gift, you will be spending a week off." Megan says, surprising me.
"For reals?" I say.
"Did you just say, 'For reals'? " Jeremy asks me.
"Yeah, got a problem with that, curly?" I say to him. But this time, no laughed, which leaves me one question.
WHY IN THE WORLD NO ONE LAUGHED AT MY WORLD FAMOUS JOKE THAT ALWAYS GIVE EVERYONE LAUGHS?
Okay, not all people of the world know me, so no one knows my joke.
And it's not famous.
Maybe I was a little mean to him. Okay a lot.
"I'm sorry Jeremy, for the rude comment." Then I face Megan "I'm going home."
