3: My First Friend

The ball rang. It means that this is the break time. All of the students got out of the class with their bags of course. I didn't get up from my chair. I tried to be busy with my phone eventhough there were no notifications. I just realized that Selena didn't get up from her chair, too. Then, there was a little awkwardness between us until she said, "Ugh, I'm boring hereeee."

I gave her a so-what-am-I-must-doing-for-you look. She just stared piqued at me and looked away. I  suddenly got a question on my mind, then I throw it out, "Why don't you just look around?"

"You know right that I'm new here. Exactly I don't know anything here," she answered while putting her chin on the table with hands down.

"Oh yes, just remembered that," I said.

"I guess I need a guide," she said in a cute way. Is she saying a code to me? Haha funny she's not, Staer. She's just mumbling. But, I think I should try to be sensitive, I said in my mind.

"Well, I think I can be your guide. It's getting bored with just sitting and staring on my phone," I offered her.

"Thank youuuuu!"

"Let's go. Time is money," I said while get up from my chair and walked get out of the class. Selena followed me.

I guided her to the library, because that's my favorite place in the school. Selena was amazed with the design of the library (I can't explain to you because that's just so amazing k). I told her that we can borrow the books if we have the Library Member Card. She just nodded. Then, I showed her my favorite part to sit and my favorite books, Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia.

"I love Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia!" she shouted in whipering way. Good she knows the attitude in library.

Selena looked around the library while opening some books that looked like interesting. Then, she found the book titled "Alice in The Wonderland". She took the book and come to me with a big smile on her face. She said, "Oh my gosh! There's still Alice in The Wonderland! I love this book sooooo much!"

"Oh really? I just knew that there's that book here. Where did you find that?" I asked curiously.

"There in the corner. I think this is limited, because there was just one," she answered while pointing the corner of the library.

"I think someone just gave it."

Selena answered in a are-you-serious look. But, I tended to ignore it. Then, she noticed that I was reading the synopsis of "The Wizard of Oz". She started to freak out in this sentence, "This library is so cool! They have The Wizard of Oz! I love that so freaking much!"

"You know this book? It's been a long time since it's released and why do you love it?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Of course, Dude! My mom read that book to me and then I read it over and over. I loved Dorothy and I loved the characters and I have the movie. I have no idea why, but I just loved that book!" she explained cheerfully. Okay, Selena is a genuine girl.

"I bet you're gonna borrow this book." I gave the book to her and she nodded happily with a sweet smile on her face. She's too cute. That words came to my mind again. "Let's make a Library Member Card," I continued. She nodded again.

After we were making the Library Member Card and borrowing "The Wizards of Oz" book, we got out of the library and went to the cafetaria. To be honest, I'm hungry. So, I guided her to the cafetaria.

There were so many students who are not my friends. Well, all of them. I asked Selena, "What do you want?"

"Umm, are there any lemons here?" she asked me back while looking around.

"Y-yes." I was confused why did she ask for lemons. You know, those are extremely sour and I hate them.

"Order me three of them with salt." Her order is unpredictable. I just nodded nerveously.

I ordered a bowl of cereal and three lemons. That needed a long time, because the line was so long. Believe or not, I was the last who ordered there. Selena just sat and looked around. She didn't look bored. I went to the table where she sat and gave her the lemons. She peeled them and cut them into slices. Anyway, the cafetaria gave the knife for them who buys fruits. Then, she sticked them by fork and ate them with the salt.

After she finished eating one of them, she found me with my mouth hang open. She laughed out loud until everyone looked at us. Then, she just gave a back-to-you-activity look and ask me curiously, "What's wrong with you? Hahaha!"

"I-i'm just surprised you ate that with salt. I bet that's super extreme ultra mega sour!" I closed my mouth and gave a really-Selena-really look.

"Well, you should try this. It becomes sweet," she offered me.

"NO. I hate salt."

"Hahahaha you're so funny!" I blushed suddenly. That was the first time someone told me that I'm so funny and the first time I blushed. For me, blushing is weird for a boy.

I think, she’s my first friend so far.
