It was a normal Tuesday morning, and you were about to head out of your apartment to buy some cleaning supplies you had forgotten the previous day. That was before you heard it. Loud, heartbroken sobbing emitted from an apartment just a few doors down from yours. You immediately put your purse back into the room you had just exited, and rushed over to the door with the crying. It slowly creaked open when you pushed on it, and you quietly entered. A man had his arms folded on the bed, his face in between them. He had an ivory complexion, and almost honey blonde hair. He was also clothed in a green sweater vest with a white shirt underneath.

"Excuse me, sir, but are you okay?"

He looked up at you, tears spilling out of the most beautiful green eyes that you had ever seen. They were rimmed with red from crying, and his incredibly thick eyebrows were curved with sadness. He was actually way closer to your age then you had thought.

"I-I just don't th-think anyone likes me anymore..I usually c-come across as insensit-tive and rude..but I d-don't mean to- I-I don't want to hurt anyone," he managed, a few more tears falling from his face. You walked around and sat down next to him, putting your arms next to his on the bed. You put an arm around his shoulders and rubbed them reassuringly.

"I know how you feel," you spoke in barely a whisper. "I'm not so great at making friends either. It's like my pride and need to be alone sometimes get in the way of everything."

"T-that's exactly what I d-do!" He exclaims, his emerald eyes and entire face smiling at you. You smiled back at him, and he turned to face you completely. He embraced you in a large hug, burying his head in your neck and shoulder.

"Thank you," the man said, his British accent finally thicker than his sobbing.

"Anytime," you replied. "My name is -your name- by the way. You can come visit my place anytime you want, since I live about three doors down from you."

"That would be lovely," he decided, all the tears gone from his emerald eyes. "I'm so sorry about before... I've been feeling a bit out of sorts today. You can come over here anytime you want. The name's Arthur. Arthur Kirkland."
