"Why aren't you eating your breakfast Fionn, you love pancakes" Fionn's mother startles him. He lifts his head and shrugs.

"Not really hungry" he mumbles leaning back in his chair.

"Can I have it then Mummy?" Fionn's 6 year old sister reaches over to grab his plate.

"Fionn?" His mother asks, he nods and pushes his plate towards Chloe.

He gets up but an arm pulls him back. His mother gives him the eye.

"Can I leave the table please" She gently smiles and nods. He rolls his eyes and heads towards the stairs.

Once in his room and lays down on his bed staring at the ceiling. He hadn't heard from Daisy since the early hours of this morning. Had he said something wrong? Oh god what if she's deleted my number. The many fears ran through his head.

He sighs and grabs his phone. It was only 11:32am. He then goes onto Spotify and and connects his speakers with his phone and clicks his Indie playlist. He scrolls down once he sees Radiohead's "High and Dry" he clicks it and lets the music flow. The words representing how he feels at this very moment. Suddenly he felt his eyes fall heavy.

A few hours later he opens his eyes squinting at the brightness of his light. Must've fallen asleep he thought. He slowly sits up and tips his head back stretching his limbs. He grabs his phone off his side table and checks the time.

4:12pm

He then checked to see if Daisy had texted him. Nothing.

He puts his phone in his pocket and gets up and walks towards the door. He quickly walks down the stairs jumping at the bottom.

"Mum? Dad?" He says peeking his head into the living room. No where. He walks into the kitchen grabbing an apple where he notices a note.

"Gone to Grandmas, will be back soon x"

he scrunches the note and drops it in the bin. He takes a bite of his apple and walks back to his room.

He walks into the door of his room and sits down at his desk pulling his phone out of his pocket. His heart exploding out his chest when he sees a text.

Daisy
Hey I'm so sorry I didn't reply, I fell asleep and I've only just woke up

He lets out a breath of air knowing he was right.

Fionn
Are you okay? Really worried me that's all

Daisy
I'm so sorry for making you feel worried eek, but honestly I'm fine don't worry about me x

Fionn
As long as you're okay x

Fionn switched off his phone and shoved it in his pocket, a soft smile spreading across his face.

The next day came quicker and he was so excited to see Daisy, he rushed out of his car not even saying goodbye to his mother leaving her there startled and confused.

Soon enough he was in the building with a wide grin across his face and he came face to face with the door that had Daisy behind it. He opened them and his smile dropped realising she wasn't there.

She must be late again, he reassured himself.

"Ah, nice to see you again Fionn" Mark greeted patting Fionn on the back. Fionn nodded and walked over to his seat.

Fionn couldn't focus, it had now been an hour into the session and his mind was on Daisy constantly. He would try and listen to the advice Mark was giving but he felt something wasn't right.

"Fionn?" Snapped back to reality Fionn looked over to Mark and noticed everyone was staring at him.

"Yes?"

"You've been staring at those doors ever since you got here, what's on your mind?" Fionn hadn't even realised he was staring at the doors.

"Erm, just tired that's all" not very convincing, well done Fionn. He mentally smacked himself.

"You sure? it's like you're waiting for a certain someone to arrive" Mark smiles. Fionn blushed and looks down at his hands.

"Yeh Daisy" one of the twins, Alex, spoke. Fionn looks up and frowns.

"Now Alex what did we talk about" Mark warns him.

"Well he shouldn't take an interest in her, she's a freak" Fionn's eyes go wide.

"Excuse me?" He speaks up and sits forward.

"Alex stop" Alex's twin, Adam speaks up.

"No, she lied, she's a freak for making it up!" What?

"Alex that is enough!" Mark shouts. Everyone suddenly goes silent and Alex shuts up.

Fionn is utterly confused by this point. Lied? What did Daisy lie about?.

Once he was home he had not said a word to his parents and just went up to his room. He shut his door and sat down at his desk. So many things going though his mind, he wanted to know, what did she lie about? But then again Alex could've made it up, but Daisy seems so mysterious and he wants to know more, maybe it had something to do with why she was in therapy.

For hours Fionn couldn't concentrate, he didn't eat his tea, he just couldn't focus.

Fionn sat at his desk in the middle of drawing Daisy on his sketchbook, when he heard something against his window. He looked at his window with a frown on his face and back to the drawing when he heard the noise again.

He got up and looked out his window to find Daisy there waiting patiently. His eyes went wide and she waved, he slowly waved back. How does she know where I live? He looked to his bedroom door making sure it was closed fully before opening his window and climbing out onto the top of the little roof part.

Once he climbed down he came face to face with a crying Daisy, mascara down her face and cheeks red.

"Oh my god Daisy what's wrong?" He asks pulling her into a hug.

"I just need you to stay with me for a while, can we go somewhere more private please" she whispers. He nodded and grabbed her hand.

He took her to the park where he spent most of his nights thinking about life. They sat down underneath the slide still holding hands.

Fionn waited patiently for Daisy to admit what was wrong with her until she let out a sigh and closed her eyes.

"What's happened?" He whispers stroking his thumb against her hand.

"Breathe" she whispers, mostly to herself.

She opens her eyes and looks at Fionn and he swear he can see a clear reflection of himself in her eyes as they're that watery.

"Just, my parents seem so interested in my brother and sister and how they're doing, after what happened with me it's like they don't wanna know who I am, I'm invisible" She chokes out.

"I'm sure they don't mean it, I feel the same with my parents" He whispers.

Daisy looks at Fionn, Fionn blushing at the close proximity and thank god Daisy couldn't see him because it was slightly dark.

"They don't love me anymore" She cries, Fionn let's go of her hand and pulls her into a hug letting her cry onto his shoulder. She grabs onto his jacket for dear life like she's afraid he'll let go too soon.

Fionn let's Daisy calm down by rubbing her back very gently.

He desperately wanted to ask her what she had apparently lied about according to Alex. But in this moment it didn't seem appropriate.

She was a fragile flower and he was afraid her petals would fall off one by one slowly losing herself and at that last petal was something worse. He's only known this girl for two days but it feels like he's known her forever. He'll give her time because that's what she needs.
