Fionn had the whole house to himself. He didn't know what to do. Quite frankly he was a bit annoyed.
Why would his parents leave him alone after what happened?. He shook his head and sat on his sofa sighing. He looked at his phone and grabbed it looking through his texts.
Daisy
He clicked on her name and started typing.
Fionn
Hey I have a free, do you maybe come round? He waited 2 minutes until he got a reply.
Daisy
Sure, I'm on my way.Fionn smiled and locked his phone.
He heard the door go 15 minutes later as he was cleaning his room. He ran down the stairs and took a breath. He opened the door and there was Daisy and her smile.
God.
"Hey go on up, first on the right, I'll get us some drinks" He said walking into the kitchen.
She closed the door behind her and slowly walked up the stairs. She opened the creaky door and was took away.
She looked at the drawings and the many family pictures he had on his wall. His desk was filled with books and journals from previous years and pencils were scattered across. His bed was neat with a clean sheet and he had band posters across his wall, Radiohead and Nirvana to be exact. She heard him come up the stairs and turned towards him. He handed her a drink and she thanked him.
"I like your posters" She says as she sits down.
"Thankyou, they were only a pound" Her eyes went wide and he laughed.
"A pound?! Back where I lived they were like three pounds ninety nine" Daisy gasps. He shook his head and shrugged.
The two chatted for what seemed forever but Fionn didn't seem to mind. He was so interested in the stories of her childhood and how everything used to be perfect.
"Ever gotten high whilst listening to Pink Floyd?" Daisy suddenly asks making Fionn lift his head up from his bed and look at her beside him.
"I.. what?" His eyes were wide. Daisy smirked and sat up reaching for her bag, she pulled out a small box and opened it. She pulled out filters and a small bag of weed.
He was shocked, he had never seen this side of Daisy before. He wasn't complaining though.
As she rolled it she told him to stick on Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd and shove a towel beneath the door. He did so and sat back down next to her. The sound of Pink Floyd echoing their ears.
She took the first drag and Fionn was fascinated. They took turns and both fell down beside each other staring at the ceiling.
Fionn turned to face Daisy and saw her eyes were closed and she was mouthing the words. He slowly reached over and took the joint out of her hand, their fingers gently touching. Fionn wouldn't admit it to her but he felt a spark, his heart was beating fast and he didn't know if it was from the weed or from her.
They lay there listening to the words of comfortably numb, themselves relating to it. Fionn had heard of Pink Floyd from his dad but never had the opportunity to listen to them.
He clearly had missed out. They were amazing.
Fionn closed his eyes as the guitar work flooded his ears and he felt chills all over his body. For the first time in ages he felt at peace and happy. He didn't want it to end.
