Morning takes over the night, the creak of a door can be heard. Feliciano feels tiny hands shake his arm. He ignores it and shifts himself towards Ludwig, drifting back to sleep. He then feels a slightly harder shaking, his leg this time, nothing. The blanket start to tug "Mama~" a whine shrieks. Lazily he sits up and rubs his eyes. He peers down to find the little girl "Ciao mia bella~" he giddily says as he reaches down to pick her up. His hands flinching back as he notices her wet clothing.

"Veh...why are your clothes wet??"
Her arms still up in a pick-me-up motion "I woke up wike dis mama" Feli sighed and shrugged "Bath time" he picks her up from under her arms and heads to the bathroom at the other side of the room.

Ludwig wakes up to water splashing and echoed giggling. He tiredly rubs his eyes and smiles at the sight once he gets to the bathroom doorway. Feli bathing Charlotte in the bubbles he had bought.
"Hawwo papa" Charlotte squeals, flailing her arms. Feli peers at the doorway through the corner of his eye. "Ciao sleepy head~ can you hand me that wife beater."
"Ve really need to get her some clothes today at zhe least" the German says as he hands Feli his shirt.

They get themselves ready and head downstairs with Charlotte in hand. Feli sets Charlotte on the couch next to Gilbert.
"Alright Gil, ve'll be right back, please keep an eye on Charlotte"
"We're going baby shopping ~~"
Feli happily laces his arms around Ludwig's arm and attempts to pull him to the door.
"Ja ja, have fun~"

Once the two step out, Gilbert whips his head around to Charlotte "Are jou ready for today's awesomeness Char??"
"Yis~~" she shouts, tossing her arms in the air.

The couple decide to head to Babies R us to find all the things they may need. Ludwig grabs a cart and their hunt begins.

First stop was for a high chair, they'd have to build whatever they bought, luckily there was one that folded into its box. They picked out a light blue high chair and placed it's box into the flat underside of the cart. Next up was a carrier, one that laches onto the back or front of the torso. They picked out sheets and covers, no need for a new bed, just make it look child friendly. Baby bottles, tiny cups, bowls, silverware, bathroom necessities like a toothbrush, girly hair things, snacks. A few toys like stuffed animals, a sit-and-spin toy, and other kid things.

Their last stop was for clothes, them being overwhelmed by all the other baby things they could get. So many different clothes to get; overalls, dresses, onsies, undies, hats, jackets, skirts, shirts and shoes. When they both decide it's time to stop and head to check out, Feliciano comes across a onsie with light brown puppy dog ears on its hood and a cute pie on its tummy.

"Luddy!! Look~~ this is perfect for our little pookie pie~~" he squeals as he shakes the pink onsie in Ludwig's face.
"Vho??"
"Charlotte~~"
"Vhere'd zhat name come from??"
"Look look, it has Pookie's ears and a cute little pie on its belly♡"
Ludwig faintly smiles and nods his head towards the check out, motioning Feli to follow.
"It's perfect, Liebe"

They check out aaaaalllll the things they bought and loaded up the car. Coming home to Gilbert playing with Char airplane style, him on his back on the floor and her in the air, hands spread to soar.
"Get ready char, here ve go again~~" Gil says as he tosses her in the air and catches her gracefully. Charlotte looks over and spots Ludwig and Feliciano unpacking things from the car. Gilbert puts her down and she runs towards them. "Hihi~~"
"Vait, Charlotte, jou don't have shoes" Gil gets up and swoops her up before she stepped any further into the rainy outdoors.
"Gutt zhing jou grabbed her, I vould have had to clean up tiny mud trackings all zhrough mien... house..." Ludwig looks down irritably "Bruder...jou don't have shoes on eizher..." Gil looks down at his socks soaking in the dirty puddle forming outside of the threshold.
"Oh yea..." he laughs awkwardly to which makes Char giggle and point at the wet socks.

After unpacking all the baby things, Everyone helped to set up Char's room ( the guestroom closest to Ludwig's room). Girly sheets and pillow cases to match, toys nicely asorted around the room, and pink and light blue lights to make the white walls looks pretty and girly. Ludwig had Charlotte play with the dogs while the door was closed.

Ludwig crouches down to her height "Charlotte, can jou do vatti a favor??" He gently asks, holding her hands. "Whas dat papa??" She looks up at him, her blue orbs shimmer in curiosity. Ludwig places her tiny hands over her eyes " Can jou keep zhose eyes covered until vatti says to open zhem??" Charlotte moves her hands as soon as Ludwig removes his hands from her arms. "Bu why papa??" He quickly places her hands over her eyes again "Ah ah ah" she peeks through her fingers, which he covers again "It's a surprise for jou, if jou look too soon, it'll disappear, liebe" he lied. Her smile stretches cheek to cheek
"Fo me??" "Ja, just keep zhose peepers covered, promise??" Charlotte nods. "I pomise~"
Ludwig takes her hand and she thrusts her other arm over her eyes and Ludwig leads her up the stairs towards the room.

Ludwig sees her peek and she quickly jolts to close her eyes back.
"Nope, I saw jou, look vhat happened, zhe surprised disappeared now...It's gone Charlotte" He opens the door to another room and opens it.
"sowwy papa, I keep tem closed"
"It's too late Liebe, jou broke jour promise, the surprise left"
"Nuuuuu, 'm sowwy!!!" She stammers as her eyes start to water. She looks up at Ludwig once more and he shakes his head in disapproval.
"Waaaaaaaa~~!!" She starts to cry.
Ludwig immediately realizes his mistake. "Vait vait, don't cry!!" He picks her up and rushes her to her new room, opening the door. "It's okay, vatti vas joking"
"Luddy...what did you do??" Feli takes Charlotte at the doorway.
"She promised to keep her eyes closed und she broke zhe promise so-"Gilbert slaps Ludwig in the back of the head.
"Jou big dummy, of course she did, she's a kid"

"It's okay Pookie pie, you can open your eyes now" Feli kisses her forehead.
Charlotte rubs her eyes and opens them to a new room. She stops crying and her smile brightens again. "P-pwetty~~" she runs around the room touching all the new things, all just right for her size. She goes to hug Feli and Gilbert.

Ludwig crouches down to her height, guilt still on his face. "Char, I'm sorry, Liebe..." Charlotte hesitates but grabs his hands, well, fingers and motions them towards his eyes.
"Jou vant me to cover my eyes now??" She nods. He does as instructed. She tip toes and balances herself on his knees, places a wee kiss on his nose. He peeks through his fingers "Is okie papa♡" his face just flushes red.
Gilbert rolls across the floor and throws finger guns at Charlotte
"Alright, Hands up Charlotte"
She turns to him and throws her hands up "Wha game is tis Gil??"
"Jou're under arrest" He grabs both her hands in his left hand.
"For stealing my bruder's heart so stealthily~~ Kesese~~" He grins widely and boops her nose with the other finger gun.

Afterwards, Feli dresses Char in the onsie he liked so much and pulls the hood over her head. "Aww, pookie pie~~ even the footies had doggie paws~~ and a tiny round tail~~" he picks her up and spins her around.
