John's POV
-
I'd been walking down a common path, right in front of the tavern. It was a very public area, nearly hundreds, maybe thousands of travelers and city folk had come through this crowded street. Especially now, near noon. It was warm, and honestly, quite lovely. So very lovely, in fact.
-
Once I was past the tavern, I began to walk near a slightly more dangerous area. Thankfully, coming through this way was fairly normal. As I looked around at the familiar sights, the dingy window panes, the decaying columns, I knew I was close to home.
-
It'd been a while since I'd last spoken with my father..which wasn't out of the ordinary, to be fair. As I came closer to the door, I sighed in relief. I pushed a strand of long curly hair behind my ear as I pushed the door open, and saw two tall men beside my father.
-
"Jacky...you're home.." he seemed less angry, a bit more solemn..almost pitiful. My eyes darted between my father, and the tall figures near him. "So..this is John, right? Not that it matters." one of them cackled. I raised an eyebrow at that, it felt..off..sketchy. Another one nodded, then approached me. He looked me up and down, then grabbed my arm harshly. "He'll do, I suppose.." the tall man shrugged and gripped my upper arm tighter. "Alright, let's go then." He sighed quietly as he started to drag me out the door. I felt shock run through me, that and confusion. "Father!" I tried to call out "Father where are they taking me?! Please!" God, my voice was at a near squeak. It felt so very..wrong. I knew whatever was happening, was wrong.
-
After a small bit of struggling, they managed to get me out of the house. They dragged me to a dock, and chained me. They quickly put a bag over my head, and ignored my constant cries, and pleads for mercy. I begged, and there was no relent.
-
I was on my way..I didn't know where, but I most definitely wouldn't be going back to Macedonia. To my home.
