lucid dream-august 14, 2017
people that were in my dream: my mother, receptionist (i did not know her), random bystanders, and an individual person who i did not know was following me
so when i started dreaming i was already in the hotel, and in this hotel, we had to look for the room with my mothers name on it.
it felt like we were going in a loop, as i was seeing (more or less) the same series of letters. in lucid dreams, your brain cannot interpret actual words, so it scrambled them.
the person following me, which i have not identified, tapped me on the shoulder and pointed to another hallway, and i though, "split up," and they started heading that way without me. i felt like i knew them.
i had this friend a couple years back, we almost knew what each other was thinking. maybe it was them.
we continued to look until we just appeared at the reception desk. there was now a shelf-like thing that held messy towels, and it has names. i decided to look. my mother wanted to help, but she recently had an operation in waking life, so her current state was the same in the dream. she could bent down to the point where her arms could pick up the towels.
i took a look around. it looked like an expensive hotel. i had recently been to punta cana, and the hotel reception looked very alike. we continued to look until i was woken up, we never found the hotel room.
meaning: hotel dreams mean that you're going through a temporary part of your life. if you are just arriving, it means it is just beginning. if you are packing up, or leaving a tip, it means you're leaving.
if you are in your hotel room, you are in the middle of something temporary. if you are in the hallways or stairways, it means you are either leaving or headed toward something.
if the hotel is in bad shape, or scary-looking, it is something scary, but it's temporary. it is in good shape, it is something good, and still temporary.
all of this could be emotions, attitude, or even a part in your life. for me, i believe this is about school, as it is starting in a couple of weeks.
