Oh how I hated the smug look on that earl's face; that smirk and narrowed eyes that showed what he already knew. The boy knew he had me wrapped around his little finger, as did I and that was what pissed me off!

"Lady (y/n), why don't we have a game of chess?" He said in a low, sly tone. I agreed, despite my prior knowledge that he would undoubtedly win; I just couldn't refuse the boy.

In a way, this game of chess represented the relationship between us; we played at opposing sides, trying to win the other, the last one standing being the victor.

In our case, it was me trying to resist his charms and him trying to win me over. The latter always being the winner in our constant tug-of-war.

I knew he had a fiancée, but I couldn't say no to his...well, everything; The way he smirked at me when nobody was looking, the way he drove me up the wall. God, he was gonna be the death of me.

Just as we had finished our game of chess, I felt myself being pushed up against my opponent's desk. Knowing what was happening, I buried my hands in his blue locks as we deepened our kiss.

I knew it was wrong, but I just couldn't help myself...

Suddenly, the office door slammed open and an ear-piercing shriek tore through the air like a knife through butter.

"CIEL?!" Came the shrill scream from beyond the room. Breaking our passionate embrace; we were greeted with the sight of a fuming Elizabeth. I looked down in shame as Ciel approached his furious fiancée.

"Calm down Elizabeth." He said in a calm tone, placing his hands on her shoulders to hold the furious female back from attacking me. "No, I will not calm down, Ciel!" She screamed, "I just found you making out with another woman; I have every right to be angry!"

I hated to do so, but I had to agree with her; we were in the wrong, not Elizabeth.

When the comments between them escalated to screaming and threats of murder, I slipped out of the room and ran to hide with Ciel's butler; Sebastian. He always looked out for me in times like this.

When I arrived, the man had opened the door almost immediately; asking me what had happened.

I told the man what had happened, breaking down in tears at the thought of what would happen to Ciel and I now. Sebastian merely said to wait here, and that he would deal with it, before leaving the room to go God-knows where.

Left alone to my thoughts, I began to be filled with extreme guilt for my actions in aiding and encouraging Ciel to betray his fiancée's trust. Poor Elizabeth must be heartbroken, oh God, what have I done?

With that thought, I began to sob heavily into my hands; until I heard a familiar voice at the door accompanied by three hard knocks.

Now let's not get overzealous here; you've always been a huge piece of shit! If I could kill you, I would, but it's frowned upon in all fifty states.

Upon opening the door, I was engulfed in the embrace of the man I loved, as he whispered the sweetest words into my ear.

"Elizabeth won't be bothering us anymore, love." He whispered in my ear. I didn't question it; I only turned my head to kiss him once more.

"I love you too." He replied in a softer tone than his usual voice, giving one of his rare smiles. As we gazed into one another's eyes, I asked him what he would do for me...

"I would kill for you," he said as he gently kissed my ear, before he pulled away. Ciel then continued, letting a devilish smirk make it's way onto his features.
