- Minghao

It was around 4:30 when I had left for the part-time job I had at the small coffee shop down the road from the dance studio Soonyoung worked at.

The echo of the small door bell that let you know someone had entered rang.

I looked up, and smiled as I saw Rene walk in.

"Usual?" I asked.

She nodded, and I proceeded to make her drink.

"How has college been going?" I asked, giving the regular her drink.

"It's been good so far. I'm studying emergency medicine. Next week, I'll be going to the hospital in Seoul." Rene responded.

"That's good." I smiled, the bell ringing once again.

"Hi, how can I help you?" Jeonghan asked the unfamiliar customer.

"Chocolate mocha with whipped cream, please." He replied.

"And your name?" Jeonghan asked.

"Joshua." He smiled at Jeonghan, who smiled back and began to make the boys drink.

I only shook my head, and continued to converse with Rene.

"So... You remember how I told you about how I like Lucy? And how you told me to just go for it and ask her out?" She asked.

"Uh.. Yeah."

"She said yes." Her smile was brighter than the sun.

"Wait- She what?" I asked, making sure I heard her.

"She said yes, and she also said the she wanted to ask me out, but she didn't have the courage and that she was really happy when I told her I wanted to ask her out."

"When and where?"

"Next Friday at 11:30 so we can get there on time and either Latte World or the movies, I haven't decided."

"Hmm... I don't know. Personally, I'd say Latte World, but that's just me. It's your date."

Rene laughed shyly.

"Okay, well, I have to go now. My class is stating soon." She waved as she took her half-empty drink with her and exited the shop.

The unfamiliar boy who came in was talking to Jeonghan, who was blushing so much I mistook him for a tomato at first glance.

He left the shop, waving to Jeonghan.

"Hmm... And what was all that about?" I asked Jeonghan.

He looked down, a set smile on his face before he looked up. "He called me cute." He mumbled and hid his face.

"He's definitely gonna be a regular, then." I began to walk to the back, taking a small break.

"I hope so." I heard Jeonghan say before he sighed.

I took out my phone, to see Soonyoung had messaged me.

<Soonshine❤: hey I'm gonna have to stay after for a bit you don't have to wait for me>

<okay I'll see you later>

I sighed, playing a few games on my phone before going back out to take more orders.

"Oh, good afternoon Ms. Yoo. How were your classes?" I asked the language teacher that I used to favor, and still do.

"They went well. The students have to start working, though." She sighed.

"What do they need help with?" I asked.

"The school has me teaching Chinese to the students, but they don't get the language and the characters." She explained in another sigh.

"I can help you with them, if you want. I don't mind."

"What?" She asked. "You know Chinese?"

"Yeah. It's my first language." I told her. "I thought you knew."

"No, I never knew that. You entered school with perfect Korean, Myungho."

I almost wanted to laugh and correct her, but she only knew my Korean name so I let it slide.

"Here you are Ms. Yoo." Jeonghan handed her the drink I didn't realize she ordered.

We talked for a bit more, and decided that I'd help her with classes every Monday and Friday.

She left after that, and I went to the back to start getting ready to end my shift.

I got my bag from my locker, and checked my phone.

<Soonshine❤: alright see you later>

"Hey, your boyfriend is here for you." Seungcheol came to the back, probably just getting here.

"Not my boyfriend." I mumbled, going out of the backroom, and to the front where I knew it wouldn't be Soonyoung, and he was the only friend I had who wasn't female.

"What do you mean? Who is it?" I asked.

"Do you not know your own boyfriend?" He asked, before leaving.

Who could it be? I didn't know, so who I saw was the one person I least expected.
