Mehak's POV:

Before he left, he paused for a moment, leaning in to place a soft, affectionate kiss on my forehead. The warmth of his kiss lingered, filling me with a deep sense of comfort and love. As he stepped away, I couldn't help but smile softly in my sleep. I then snuggled deeper into the plush comforter, letting its warmth envelop me as I drifted back into a peaceful slumber.

The next morning, I stood in front of the colorful shops of Jaipur's walled city, the sun casting a warm glow over the bustling streets. Manasavi's enthusiasm was palpable as she turned to me, her eyes shining with excitement.

"Manasavi, it really wasn't necessary," I said, trying to downplay the grand gestures she made.

She waved her hand dismissively, a playful smile dancing on her lips. "Remember what I told you, Mehak. You're lucky to have Shaurya in your life. And he's lucky to have you too." Her genuine happiness for us was evident, and I felt a flutter of warmth in my chest.

"Thank you, but all this-" I began, but she cut me off, her tone turning playful. "Stop overthinking! We have a mission today. We need to finish our shopping by 3 P.M., or we'll miss our flight back to Delhi. Chalo!" With that, she grabbed my wrist and led me into a nearby shop.

As we entered, the air was thick with the scent of fabric and the chatter of vendors. The walls were lined with beautifully draped sarees, each adorned with the traditional Gotta Patti work-intricate gold embroidery that glimmered under the shop's lights. I was immediately drawn to a vibrant array of colors, from rich maroons to deep blues, each piece more captivating than the last.

"This is stunning!" I exclaimed, holding up a deep maroon saree with delicate gold accents.

Manasavi leaned in closer, nodding in agreement. "You have such a great eye! You should definitely get that one."

After spending a delightful time browsing, I finally settled on four sarees: two for my Chachi, one for Shaurya's mom, and one for Manasavi. Each choice felt personal, and I hoped they would appreciate the thought behind each gift.

Once we settled the bill, our arms were filled with bags, and the thrill of shopping energized us. However, time was slipping away. "We really need to hurry," She reminded me, glancing at her watch.

"Just a few more things," I said, tugging her toward another shop bursting with handcrafted jewelry. The vibrant stalls were filled with everything from colorful bangles to intricate silver necklaces, glimmering in the sunlight.

"Okay, but this is the last stop," she conceded, allowing myself to get swept up in her enthusiasm. As we sifted through the trinkets, laughter and chatter surrounded us, creating a lively atmosphere that felt almost magical.

Shaurya and Vicky headed to Delhi early in the morning, which left me feeling a bit out of sorts. I had been looking forward to our shopping spree, especially since we had missed it the day before. I felt a twinge of disappointment and awkwardness as Shaurya left, wishing we could be together for the fun.

However, I make the most of the day. We browsed through various boutiques, picking out some beautiful items for my wardrobe, all tied to the wedding preparations. It turned into a special bonding experience for us, and I was grateful for the time spent together, even if the day didn't go as initially planned. By the end of our shopping trip, I felt more excited about the upcoming celebrations.

After our shopping spree, Manasavi and I hurried straight to the airport to catch our flight. The excitement of the day still lingered as we settled into our seats. Almost immediately, Manasavi dozed off, leaving me to enjoy the view outside. As the plane ascended, I watched Jaipur shrink beneath us, and a wave of nostalgia hit me. I couldn't help but think, "Main phir aaugi, but ab jab aaugi to kisi ki dulhan ban ke jaugi, kisi ki biwi banungi, kisi ki humsafar... uff!" The thought made my cheeks flush, and I instinctively covered my face, feeling shy about my daydreams.
