Resilient Platoon

Chapter four

After getting lost for the past half an hour, Eden finally found his team's living quarters. There was a hand scanner. Eden remembered the recruiters scanning Eden's hand at the base and so he placed his hand on the scanner. The scanner lit up and a green line scanned down from his finger tips to the end of his palm. It made a small bing noise and a compartment opened up revealing a panel code. Eden looked at the paper and found a four digit number on the paper: 8021. He entered the code and it also made a bing noise. The door opened and Eden walked in.

When he entered, he saw the living room. It had two large dark green sofas, a couple of bean bags, a flat screen television set, and glass coffee table with some dirty glass cups still on it. The walls were painted gray and the floor has white tiles.

Eden looked around his team's living quarters and it was large. He entered a hallway and the hallway has four other entrances, two on the left and two on the right. The first entrance on the right what looked like the kitchen since it had a refrigerator, a sink with dirty cups and plates, a stove, and cupboards above and below.

He walked down to the next entrance and found the team's lavatory. There was a short hallway with two single doors on; one on the left side and other door were straight ahead. Eden walked to the left door and opened the door to find a room with stalls with toilets in them with a sink with a mirror. The sink had tubes of toothpaste, toothbrushes, makeup, a hairdryer, and brushes. He closed the door and opened the other door. Inside was the shower room which you can tell what was inside. There were shower heads inside stalls and has drains throughout the room.

He went back to the hallway. He was about to inspect the other door until something interrupted him. 'Get off my bunk!' A girl yelled. Following that was a two loud thuds and sounds of a fight.

Eden went to check it out and followed the noise. When he found the source, he entered the first door on the left and entered. They're the barracks of his team. He saw eight bunk beds and one bunk had his stuff on it. Then spotted a door on the far corner of the room, there was a sign above the door: Team Officer's room. And found the source, he saw two students, a boy and a girl, 'fighting' on the floor. The boy was pulling the girl's hair and she was pulling his ear.

The girl had caramel skin, brown hair, and green eyes. She has a few freckles on her cheekbones and forehead. She also has a birthmark on her neck shaped like a spear. The boy had dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, and peach skin. He also has a little scar on his nose.

They stopped when they saw Eden at the door with a confused gaze. 'You must be the transfer student,' said the girl, pointing at Eden. 'Bryden, is it?'

'uhh...no, it's actually Eden.' He corrected. Sharo

Both got up from the floor and dusted their uniforms, both held the rank of Tosofo on their shoulder. The ranks in Sion is different than those of the Visitors who colonized the Tomar island continent.

Kiel extended his hand to Eden. 'It's always a pleasure to meet a Sharo,' He looked up and down of Eden. 'But thought you'd a bit taller.'

Janie punched Kiel's shoulder real hard. Kiel then rubbed the area she punched. 'Don't be rude.' She turned to Eden with an apologetic expression. 'I'm sorry, he always acts before he thinks.'

'It's alright, I'm under the average height in the Sharo province.' The average height of the Sharos are five foot eleven to seven foot three. Eden is just one and half inches below the average.

'He didn't mind, Janie.' Kiel taunted, knowing he did nothing wrong.

'It doesn't matter, you need to learn some manners. How many times did I tell you?'
