Just another day in Gotham City

~ Edward Nygma's POV ~

We spent a whole hour on this case ....... it was ruining our walk in the park ! Harvey walked over to me and Kristen " talk to me Ed. What have you found " he asks , I open my mouth to reply before he cuts me off " and absolutely NO riddles . We don't have time for that." He adds , I huff " he appears to have been stabbed a great deal in the left Leg, shot in the shoulder and wacked in the head one to many times. " I reply reading off my notes " this is the file on the victim detective " Kristen says handing Harvey the file that she had filled out as I was inspecting the body " thank you miss . Kringle. Always on top of your work you are." He smiles , Jim comes over " we'll have to cut this date short guys , we can reschedule? " Jim asks as Leslie comes up beside him " of course jimbo . 6:00 tomorrow you want me in ?" I ask , Jim nods " bit earlier than your 7:00 starting time Ed but needed." He comments as he and Leslie walk of scene , me and Kristen head off the opposite way , back to my apartment " what a day ." Kristen says throwing herself onto my bed and taking off her glasses " I know. I know. I have to go wash my hands ...... my hands are pretty bloody. " I say, she only nods closing her eyes . I walk into the bathroom and turn the water on " well what a day this has been " I look at the mirror to see my reflection, yes my reflection, talking to me , I take my glasses off " shut up. " I state staring into the mirror as I continue to wash my hands " you can stop washing your hands now " ' I ' comment , I only now realizing that ' I 'm ' right, I turn off the water " hurry up. She's waiting for you . " ' I ' say , I dry my hands and grab my glasses , putting them on as I leave the bathroom and sure enough Kristen is sitting on my bed smiling at me sweetly , I can't help but smile back " can I help you Miss . Kringle ? " I ask sitting across from her and wrapping my arms around her, she pulls me into a kiss , I pull her into my lap as I return the kiss and we continue this for quite some time until we need to breathe " oh Eddie " Kristen breathes into my neck as she nuzzles her head closer to my neck , I lie back onto my bed , pulling Kristen down me of course and we just lie here for who knows how long.
