I, Marco Diaz, have come to one of the biggest decisions ever in my entire life.
Hoping I won't hurt anyone. Basically here's how the story plays out.
There was a school dance, right. And I figured that Star would want to go with Oskar. I mean, she does have a crush on him, right? Well anyway... let me get the the point. I was gonna ask Jackie Lynn Thomas. Because she's been my biggest crush since Ike, kindergarten... I think? Anyway... i was in math right, and I was taking my usual notes and Star passed me a note.
Stars note-
Marco I was wondering if you would like to go to that dance with me.
And I was totally going to say yes when Jackie passed me a note.
Jackies note-
Hey Marco. Wanna go to the dance?
And I was totally befuddled. I hadn't a clue what to say. Anyway not wanting to hurt either of them I asked to leave class. And I didn't go back.
When I got home it was even more awkward.
Mainly because it was friendship Thursday and I didn't wanna see star or Jackie till I knew what the hell to decide. Well I guess to make this long story short... I'll just skip to dance night.
Dance night
I put on my suit and tie. I, think that I look quite dashing.
I combed my hair and I was about to go downstairs when I realized I had no idea who to go with. So I snuck out my window. It was kinda chilly out so I walked pretty fast. But I didn't take the short way because I didn't wanna get seen.
Anyway.
I arrived at the school and I was thirsty so I went to get something to drink.
Me, being the person I am, wasted precious hiding time because I brought my own cup because drinking out of plastic just isn't something I wanted to do.
And, I got seen... by Jackie.
She smiled and waved and walked over to me.
"You never replied to me.. did you not wanna come with me?"
I basically choked on my drink. I mean I did but there was also star...
"I gotta go.." I sat down my cup and walked away. She didn't look happy but I wasn't sure what to do.
I sat in the corner of the room and saw Star. But she wasn't alone...
She was dancing with none other than Oskar Greyson.
I wasn't surprised. I guess she didn't wanna wait for me to come around.
So I decided to find Jackie. And once I finally found her. She was dancing with someone else.
Face palm.
So that is the story on how I ended up at the dance alone.
