*Click* I slowly unlocked the door. And very slowly closed the door as I entered, wanting not to make any noise . . . *click* Locking the door. All of the rooms in this building are all the same except for mine. I don't even live in a room. It's barely a storage room but with a bunk bed. No, I don't have a roommate. It's just that it was way cheaper than the ones that the other girls had. I head over to my desk to get my iPod and earbuds. Before I play my music. I got flashbacks of I when got the earbuds and the iPod. 'I managed to escape the orphanage. I was 12 when I escaped, I was running through the alleyways. I then stop, and hide when I see two dark figures in a distance. They got closer to my hiding spot. I quickly pray and held my breathe, thinking that they have already found me or seen me. Then they stop. I managed to make out a woman and a hooded man. He was tugging and pulling. To what I think was a purse. While the other woman was terrified and pulled her purse back trying to escape from his grip. I wanted to help. But something was holding me back. I was too terrified. 'Will he hurt me?'                    *RIP* The woman then falls, and quickly runs away from the hooded man. The man runs the opposite direction, I slowly make my way out of my hiding spot. I then coughed forgetting I was holding my breathe. I made sure they were gone. I see a shiny object reflecting off the moonlight. An iPod, earbuds, and a tiny bag. Which contained a bunch of tiny jewelry. (Such as earrings, rings, and bracelets.) The iPod had a cute case :

I then hid the stuff in my clothing

I then hid the stuff in my clothing. "HEY!" I turn around sharply at the sudden noise. It was security. He ran to me grabbed my hips roughly and lifted me off the ground. I kicked and screamed. And threw my hands everywhere trying to get off his grip. "Where are your parents, young lady!" He shouted in annoyance. "I HAVE NO PARENTS!" I shouted back in annoyance, which I quickly regretted. He took the hint and locked me in the backseat of his car and took me to the familiar building. The orphanage. The owner of the orphanages didn't even know I was gone. I was nearly gone for two hours! I returned to my room. After getting my 'Punishment' after the officer left. Leaving me crying alone with fresh bloody wounds and scars all over my body. Locked in my room. Darkness filling the room. Tears fal-

I snapped out of my thoughts, "yes ?"
Silence
I got off of my bed and headed towards the door in annoyance. I opened it slightly and peeked my head out of my room. "Yes?" I came face to face with 'The Bully'. "Oh hi, I just wanted to remind you that you are a filthy piece of sh**. Nobody loves you, Heck nobody will ever love you. You are so ugly. Even the poor and ugly feel bad for you. You don't deserve to be here, alive. You are wasting oxygen in this world. You think everything is about you! Well it isn't! You are such a crybaby! No wonder your parents didn't want you! Your lucky we haven't hurt you yet, you ungrateful bit-       *SLAM*       —click—
I ran to my bed covered myself with the sheets. Tears rolling down my cheeks. Questioning myself. 'Is it true?' 'Is she right?' That's when I had an idea. 'I will escape. I will escape tonight!'

I slowly sang a song to myself to comfort myself.

"Pupils begin to observe
Watching the waste on this earth
Mamas don't love their kids like they used to
Letting them smoke their herbs

Nails bitten down to the nub
Palms out of fire as they rub
Soup never reaches its boil
Dinner ain't the only thing they spoil

Let the maggots and worms infest your brain
Got your memory of all fall, times begin
Let that hell of a drug emerge in your veins
And I will claim that I love you
And I am the one who birthed you

Skin tearin' down to the bone
Freckles fall off as they're told
You realize soon your identity changes
No longer the person you were
No longer the person they adore

Let the maggots and worms infest your brain
Got your memory of all fall, times begin
Let that hell of a drug emerge in your veins
And I will claim that I love you
And I am the one who birthed you

Thank you, mama
For all you've done
Gave me cancer
And thick black lungs
Left me rotting
On the street
Rather shoot up
Than have food to eat

Let the maggots and worms infest your brain
Got your memory of all fall, times begin
Let that hell of a drug emerge in your veins
And I will claim that I love you
And I am the one who birthed you
And I am the one who birthed you

Do, do, do, do, do, do, do [2x]

Mamas don't love their kids like they used to
Letting them smoke their herbs"

// I do NOT own any of the pictures or lyrics and music. The song is by Melanie Martinez. Birthing addicts, is the name of the song. //
