Chapter 7

Chapter 7 (read with caution)

Once we sat on the bench I immediately started talking "Jonah before you say anything please don't mention what you saw the day I left, I can't have them know. Not yet or not now" I frown remembering Jonahs terrified face when he saw me that night

"But Steffanie, is your dad still.." he paused. He stared at my face.

He reached over and held my cheek with the palms of his hand.

He rubs my cheeks lightly

"Makeup.. Steffanie" Jonah starts but I immediately push his hands away and cover my face with my hair

"Jonah please, I'm trusting you. Don't tell anyone"

I start to stand up but I was pulled back down and into a hug

"I missed you" Jonah was a very welcoming teddy bear.

But yet I'm not at ease with being touched

"Jonah I'm sorry but please let go of me" I look down feeling bad

"Did I do something, I'm sorry I was straight forward about it and hugging you it's jus-" before his ramble on feeling sorry I interrupted him

"Jonah, you didn't do anything I just don't like being touched.. mostly hugged" I said playing with the edge of my shirt

"Don't worry I won't do it again. Do you have someone to drop you off? I can if the girls have their own plans" he offers

"I mean no, I left me car and rea's house but I don't want you to see.." I stop myself

"It's alright. I got you, I'll do anything to keep you out of harm okay?" He says standing up and offers his hand.

I hesitate to take it but I lightly did and we walk side to side back to everyone and he explains he'll drop me off instead and I followed him to his car, I'm guessing they took separate cars earlier because there were multiple cars nearby too.

I put my address on the gps and we head to my house in silence.

I decided to speak once we were 10 minutes away

"Jonah, I can't have you be seen or get hurt so I'll just tell you where I can drop you off okay" I said looking at him even if his eyes were on the road

"What if you get hurt again" he says softly.

I know he's worried but he shouldn't be
I reassured him I'll be alright and I told him to stop where he needed to stop at.

"Thank you Jonah and here's my number because I promise this won't be the last time you'll see me" I smile handing him the paper

I knew he was uneasy about this but he let me go and I was on my way back to the hell house

I quietly opened the door in hopes he wouldn't hear because the show volume was on blast and beer bottles were everywhere

I shut the door behind me lightly but once I turned around there stood the devil I call 'father'

"Where were you! Your shift ended long ago!" He grabs me and pushes my up the wall with his hands around my neck choking me letting me have a hard time breathing

"I- I s-s-stayed back!" I choked out

"Liar" he throws me on the ground and starts kicking and punching and ignoring the my cries from all the pain

He took off his belt and started hitting me over and over ruthlessly causing me to get bruises and cuts from the metal part

This went on for about 8 minute. Longest 8 minutes ever

And then he left
