Mason sat in his car and watched Cole and the bitch talk. She was crying and he was.... conforting her? It must be part of the act. She has tears in her eyes. They must be talking about her mom. He felt pretty bad about killing her. At the same time, she wasn't the first person he'd killed and it was most definitley not the last. He told himself it was because she wasn't his intended target and he was forced to watch the aftermath of it. He watched as Cole gave this chick, Priscilla, a genuine look of love. Fuck. He's falling for her! Dammit Cole!! He thought. He watched as he grabbed her hand and started talking to her. He looked kind of far off now. He started staring off into space. Then, Cole's mouth started moving again. Mason watched as Cole once again started talking and that Priscilla bitch furrowed her brows together. She looked stunned then stood up. She went over to him and slapped him so hard his face snapped to the left. Which just happened to be where Mason was in his car watching them.
Cole and Mason made eye contact for a minute before the color drained from Cole's face and Mason smirked. He made a gun shape with his hand and shot Cole. Cole knew what it meant. He was no longer trusted. Priscilla had gotten up and left. Cole chased after her and Mason chuckled. He is so whipped. Mason decided he could catch up with his studying later. Everyone kept telling him he was becoming obsessive and stalkerish and he should just let it go and find another way to earn the money back. But he refused to do that. Not only would it hurt his rep but he would have to go back the streets. The streets were the shittiest place someone had to go to get money. It was where the desperate people went. Mason wasn't that desperate... Yet. That was where all the newbies went. He had already had his turn at the streets and he told himself he would never return. There were always hookers and drug dealers at the corner of each street. Even then he considered himself better than all of them. Now look at him. He was the boss. There was only one guy above him, Mike. No one but Mason had ever met Mike in person. He was intemidating enough without meeting him in person. The furthest anyone got to meeting him was over the phone. Everyone knew who he was. All you had to say to someone was "Don't make go to Mike with this." and the color would drain from their face. The only reason Mason was able to see Mike in person was because he was related to him. Mike was Mason's father.
Mike didn't look dangerous. That's why he was so perfect. He was the most feared person in the whole state but no one knew what he looked like. When he was out in public he went by 'Michael'. Mason was Mike's right hand man. After that bitch stole his money he got on the phone with Mike and Mike said he had two months to get every single penny back or else. He said he didn't care how he did it but it needed to happen. Mason has been monitoring Priscilla every since. He had been watching Priscilla Smith for months before that because Cole had shown interest in her. Once she stole the money he saw how brave she really was to not just hand it over to him and beg for her life, though that probably would've been smart of her to do. It probably would've been smart of her to lock her door though.. When he shot her mother he truly did think it was her. As soon as she came out and realized what happened he felt kind of... bad? He let her run past him to get to her mother. He doesn't know why he didn't just stab her as she ran by. It certainly would've made things easier.
