"kellin quinn with a phone in his hand? what's the miracle?" jaime asked jokingly, laughing at his joke when kellin rolled his eyes.
the tall boy was beyond irritated. it was a monday, meaning he had his weekly beating with tyler and the boys.
his ribs and stomach were horribly bruised, along with his busted lip, but he managed to play it off like he fell.
"vic bought it for me." kellin muttered, typing away on his phone.
who he was texting was quite obvious, seeing as whenever one boy sent something funny, the other was laughing out loud.
"vic did what?! i'm lucky if i can get the kid to speak more than one word to me! yo, nick! vic bought kellin a phone! can you believe this shit?!" jaime yelled, motioning nick over to the two boys.
vic looked up from his phone and rolled his eyes, slapping the back of jaime's head when nick came over.
"none of your business, estúpido." vic whispered into jaime's ear, making the slightly taller boy nod and walk away in fear.
he was very close with mike and vic, but everyone feared the short mexican.
nick held his eyebrows up and looked between kellin and vic. something was definitely going on between them, and he was going to figure it out.
the short mexican eyed nick, as if telling him that he needed to leave.
"vic? you bought kellin a phone? care to explain why?" mr. way asked seriously, taking his glasses off. all boys turned to vic except kellin, who was typing away on his brand new black iphone 7.
vic raised his eyebrow at gerard, making the old man squirm in his seat.
"cause he needs one." the short mexican said simply, because who needed to know his business?
"but, why?" he pushed, trying to get at least a sentence out of vic.
the mexican sighed deeply and shoved his phone in his pocket, making kellin do the same.
"because i like talking to him, gerard. i figured maybe if i got him a phone, i would speak to him more." vic said calmly, his deep voice surrounding the small classroom as everyone except kellin watched his every move.
the tall boy had his eyebrow raised, as if he was annoyed at the very idea of being there. all he wanted to do was be with vi-
excuse me. sorry. i meant all he wanted to do was go home.
"kellin?" mr. way asked, snapping kellin out of whatever trance vic's voice put him in.
he hummed in response, a blush rising to his cheeks when he realized everyone was staring at him.
"you like speaking to vic?" the old man asked, curiosity clear on his face as he scribbled words down in his notebook.
kellin nodded, ignoring the smirk from vic.
"he... he gets me." the tall boy whispered softly, rolling his eyes at jaime's comments about how the two boys are 'in love'.
"what do you mean by that?" mr. way asked softly, knowing better than to press kellin too far about his new found interest in vic fuentes.
